  1. I wouldn't destroy them as they are memories that cant be taken away. I have diaries and photo albums since 1987 and often dig them out to refresh my memory.
  2. You've shot them all ? I've found a few recently, still got a few to mop up ?
  3. Doesnt affect gameshoots or deerstalking or falconry. If rough shooting each gun can use 2 dogs for flushing but they musnt form a pack.
  4. Why risk jail or a big fine for catching a few poxy rabbits. They will seek to make an example of people, wouldnt be me . Freedom is more important than catching rabbits.
  5. Lurcher catching rabbit = offence. Why risk it ?
  6. What I'm wondering is , what will happen to all these lurchers ? Will they be kept as pets or PTS.
  7. Popped up to the sheep farm last night as she has started lambing and there is a few outside in the fields. Set up in a rough field with a stream running through it and some gorse which has produced very well in the past. Started with rabbit and vixen calls which produced nothing so changed to dog fox mating call which had an instant response. This fox was coming in meaning business , not happy that he had a rival on his patch which was his undoing. A decent size dog , obviously gay as not interested in the ladies ?
  8. Certainly has , in the huff with me too for some reason ...
  9. Same as the laws regarding shooting roe deer , you can use a .222 Scottish side of the fence but it it crosses over the fence onto the English side its illegal..bonkers.
  10. I know the gear works Ian just decided its not for me. No need for Nv round me as havent seen a lamp shy fox in years. If I see one it usually gets shot ?
  11. Hes not the quickest at target acquisition I would have found it quicker. But to be fair it came in behind us and he had to totally change position with the quads . I was going to buy a C50 but after last nights debacle I am not going to bother as I dont need one as I proved straight after. I am thinking about buying a thermal though as it is interesting just spotting what's out there but I will still shoot with lamp and glass scope. Nothing beats the image through the glass of my Swaro ...much better than looking at a digital screen. Problem is which thermal as I'm very
  12. After being housebound for 4 days with a sprained ankle I was desperate to be out last night hobbling about. Told my mate to come over with thermal and C50 and try a few spots I haven't been to in ages. Anyway I called a fox in really close to around 30 yds , my mate couldn't find it in scope, fox trotted back to about 50 yds, I stopped it and he missed ? I hate all this faffing about with thermal and nv , give me the lamp anytime as that fox would have been dead. Anyway after he went home a bit pissed off I grabbed my rifle and lamp and headed off out again. I called
  13. I used to always defend hunting too but these days couldn't give a rats arse. Its carried on since 2004 but it's about time it was confined to the history books ...get them shot I say ??
  14. Jesus...bet its lifting. Bet there was deer running about all over too ?
  15. Feck me ...more foxes than pheasants, my kind of shoot ?
  16. ?? How many pheasants did you actually see in total ?
  17. So did you pay £80 and never fire a shot ffs ?
  18. Unfortunately it's quite common in small shoots that the so called keeper is a joke. Used to do the foxing on a local estate where the so called keeper was a pisshead and did no vermin control whatsoever or feed and water the birds. But if you heard him talking he knew it all but in reality never went out his cottage. He asked us to get him a roe one day so I came back with one ungralloched on purpose just to see him perform ?? well feck me he only proceeded to plunge a 6 inch knife straight into the rumen with green stuff spewing all over...well I laughed my back off. Feck
