  3. Just returned from a trip down South...... Managed to bag myself a few munties , could have shot another 4 munty bucks but keeper restricted us to what to shoot. Also found this lizard whilst I was lurking about
  4. thank for the info foxhunter, the guy in the shop has been telling me to get it threaded and fit a sound mod but i figured he just wants the cash(£235) but i will defo look into it thanks again mate £235 thats quite a good price , cost me £300. I would get it done straight away, another advantage is there is no muzzle flip so you can actually watch what you shoot. Tikka T3 .243 CALIBRE WITH T8 moderator
  5. Millet , she was not in cub or had cubs , she was barren mate. It is indeed big sheep country also and foxes must be controlled whenever the opportunity arises. I would definitely get a moderator fitted if I was you ,they are excellent reducing noise considerably along with recoil and also improves accuracy. I would never go back to a rifle without one fitted , money well spent
  6. Sunday afternoon we spotted a fox working a gorse banking , so later on me and my mate laid up waiting for a possible shot on dusk.Anyway as we lay in wait my mate suddenly said "Dont move a fox is walking straight towards us " he positioned his rifle across my back and shot this dumb vixen at a distance of only 20 yards , what was most surprising is that a strong wind was blowing straight at it but it didnt seen to care
  7. Nice to see Scoob getting back to fitness mate Roll on next season , there will be no stopping him. Those squigs have learned to hide when youre about , I dont blame them you predator
  8. Actually rabbithunter those antlers are crap. Good body weight on beast but rubbish head
  9. As it was a nice night last night after the weekends gales and blizzards I decided to take a stroll and see what was knocking about. After 2 hours of seeing nothing I was heading back to the car at 8.20pm , when I noticed this 6 pointer in a game crop staring straight at me . Why do they look at you while you open your sticks and take your rifle from your shoulder and let you shoot them???? Anyway went home successful , this is the buck where I found him lying in a ditch after a 50 yard dash
  10. Check the date of the post...........................they were shot beginning of Jan
  11. Both neck shot mate ....................ask JD he was feeling my arse at the time
  12. What sort of a question is that????
  13. An old gentleman I know has just gained some stalking ground but is very inexperienced , he has only shot about a dozen deer and never gralloched any. He asked me if I could accompany him to get a buck and show him the proper gralloching technique. We had only been on the ground about 5 minutes when I spotted a good buck which the old man duly shot Quite a good head I think After showing him how to gralloch the beast and check for signs of disease we carried on in search of another. Luckily a buck jumped out of a wood to about 70 yards from where we were laying in wait
  14. Nice to see Scoob out and about again mate!!!
  15. I was lucky enough to be out yesterday morning and get myself a cull buck.............
