  1. Out the other night with the lamp , never saw a fox so made do with some smaller stuff Then today I had a quick walk out with the shotgun to blow the cobwebs off it :11: 1st shot of the day was a stoat quickly followed by a squig........ Then I saw a squig out in the open so it got it Then I had a walk through a thickish piece of woodland flushing a rabbit followed by another squig Not a bad little walk out 4squigs,1 stoat , 1 rabbit , 1magpie and a crow which I never bothered picking!!

  4. Well I arrived at my ground this morning at 7am and it was still pitch black and pissing down :realmad: Things didnt look good but I ventured out anyway. Luckily the 1st bit of cover I glassed I spotted a doe on the move, but unfortunately she disappeared into some thick cover. After waiting for 10 mins or so and continually glassing she re-appeared. 1st doe of the season in the bag
  5. Pockets. I have been using a red filter for the past 14 years for everything , rabbits and foxes and it works great. Just thought I would use the amber for a change and I must admit every fox lamped last week wasnt bothered in the slightest by the amber filter in fact they completely ignored it. Both really good filters!!!

  12. Had another look out last nite with the callmaster................a fox came flying in but stopped on the brow of a hill so I couldnt shoot it..............how come foxes have a canny knack of doing this :realmad: Anyway as I tried to get into a better position the fox disappeared over a banking. On further investigation I lamped it again in the next field.................so I stalked it for a few minutes as it kept moving. Then when I could get a comfortable shot off the bipod I took a nice dog fox at approx 150yds Only saw the 1 last night ........weather was crap, very
