  1. i could be someone off this site sick to death of looking at pictures of dead foxes Dont look then
  2. We went out last night at 7.30pm and waited in a spot overlooking some good ground hoping to catch a fox on the move at dusk 8.20 and the light was drawing in , I spotted a fox coming down a banking , a quick shout to stop it and it never felt a thing Then we continued lamping , we came across a couple of foxes in a stubble field , one was shot the other ran off into the adjoining stubble field. As we proceeded to follow a motor pulled up into the same field and started lamping and squeaking :realmad: We watched them for a bit , then they started shouting ,laughing an
  3. Woodga, Heres those pics of last weeks first outing with the stinkers
  4. Well done Frank , a great start to the season
  5. Lamped a farm last nite that consists of large stubbles , turned on the callmaster and immediately had 2 foxes screaming in from about half amile away each , one out in front and one out to the right. Unfortunately they both worked the wind and disappeared before getting a shot. :realmad: A couple of fields further on and we lamped another 2 foxes in same field but once again they didnt like the lamp and scarpered. :realmad: As we left the farm we were a bit pissed off at seeing 4 foxes but not getting a shot , so in desperation I lamped one last field on the way out and spotted
  6. Nice buck Foxdropper , I would be well pleased with that one
  7. We were using my Ruger 77/22 bolt action , very accurate We had a good night even though the night was very still ,not a breath of wind. Woodga even managed to drive his new 4x 4 quite well Just waiting now to take off the L plates
  8. nighttimenellie Youre right your dog is just like Woodgas
  9. Sorry to hear about your dad mate , hope he makes a quick recovery! I feel sorry for the cowards if you find out who they are , they will regret doing it thats for sure
  10. A look out yesterday provided a little mixed bag........... Another Charlie went to that great hunting ground in the sky
  11. On my early morning mooch this morning I bumped into this guy
  12. I would definitely consider getting a moderator for your .222 foxdropper , it was the best move I ever made buying my T8. I dont think I could ever go back to a rifle without one , my hearing is already shot after having centrefires shot from my shoulder for years the daft things you do when you're younger!!! Whilst stalking you can often get a second shot
  13. Out again last nite on a different spot but the weather came in misty :realmad: Just as we got back to car I spotted some eyes my mate did really well taking this cub at 97 paces with the rimmy
  14. A good night had by all. Foxing can be very easy but it can also be very frustrating at times . Once those foxes have been lamped a few times it can be like a game of cat and mouse. Nothing more satisfying though than outwitting a shy fox
  15. Nights like that are to be cherished , they dont happen that often around our neck of the woods
  16. Good result The more you go out looking for them you will be surprised how many you will actually grass
  17. Good going mate I hate it when you have to share permission with other people as it can be ruined by constant lamping. I prefer to only do one patch of ground every 2 or 3 weeks , giving it time to settle down. Out last nite and picked a few up This ground wont be lamped now for a couple of weeks
  18. I also use the palm of my hand not the back of my hand. We also use a callmaster which I have found to be very effective
  19. Well done David , I cant wait to get out again as Ive been laid on my back in bed for the last week , done my back in big style but its starting to mend now. Will be back out on those foxes again next week , plenty to go at
  20. .243 calibre using 58 grain v-max .......................awesome
  21. Back last nite again and my mate took another cub xx
  22. My mate has just purchased the new Schmit & Bender MP 11 scope at a cost of £1500 and I have to say it is excellent. He wanted to try the scope out for long range as this is his forte. Anyway we spotted a hare sitting in a field and with the rangefinder assessed that it was 664 yards away. So after checking his ballistic chart printed from the internet , dialled in the turret the minutes of angle required at the required distance. Now there was a tiny breath of wind blowing from the right so he aimed approx 1 foot to the right and with his first shot he took the hare.
