  1. Whereabouts in Co Durham ?????????????
  2. I went out with David again last nite onto my ground where the farmer wants the foxes culled. It was quite a quiet night , very still but I spotted the orange eyes of old charlie at the far end of a ploughed field . Crouching next to the hedge I gave it some very quiet squeaks with my mouth and managed to coax it into a shootable position , where David quickly dispatched it with a 58 gr v-max Its turning out to be quite a good start to the year !!!!

  7. I invited David out again to a farm which I havent lamped for a couple of months even though there was a full moon , frost and a bit of mist in the air. I lamped the tell tale orange eyes at the opposite side of a rape field , I told David to get ready. I gave a quiet squeak as the place was silent and on switching the lamp on saw the fox ambling over to us , at about yds I gave it a gentle cough to stop him , then David delivered the 58 gr v-max which vaporised its chest cavity.

  13. Me and David travelled to my ground for 1st light to see what we could ambush. 7.30 am and I spotted a fox mooching about at the bottom of some gorse some 400 yards away, so me and David sneaked in to about 200 yds. I told David to take it when he was ready , the fox re-appeared broadside and down it went , a very good shot from david, 1st vixen in the bag. A good start to the morning Then we mooched about the rest of the day til the afternoon , where we laid up watching a big bank of gorse. David spotted another fox some 500 yards away , which I called and it came in like a bat out
  14. Hey Darcy , I never saw you in the medal tables this year , youre slacking mate
  15. Well I travelled to the Borders at the weekend even though the forecast was bad , but you know what they say " He who dares ............" The morning started off with blizzards which kept up for about 3 hours. The stalking was very demanding but this made it more of a challenge! I missed a hind in the morning as my mounts came loose on the rifle , so at luchtime it was back to the workshop , mounts removed , tightened and then check the zero of my rifle. Then there was a break in the weather in the afternoon for a couple of hours. I managed a roe kid in the afternoon ,
