  2. Yesterday affternoon I was out spying for deer , I spotted a couple of roe in a really thick piece of ground , but they were does . I was quite happily watching them when I spotted a red flash going through the white grass. It was a cracking charlie. I had to wait til it presented itself in an opening , I gave it a shout and it stopped , I could only see its head. Took its eye out , what a beautiful big dog fox in prime condition Really big fox , guessing weight at around 18 - 20 lbs.

  5. I had organised for my mate to try for his 1st sika stag on friday , I was going along just as a spectator but at the last minute decided to try for a stag myself. We arrived at 5.45am still dark and drove up into the forest. The stalker was taking my mate to look for a good stag which had been seen and I was stalking alone. I hadnt been stalking 10 minutes when I noticed a black shape emerging from the trees , I got myself ready for a shot but when the beast materialised in front of me it turned out to be a hind not 40 yards from me. Carrying on I glassed a young stag wa
  6. Hi FD , I knew this would stir up a can of worms it always does . If the farmer wants rid of a problem you must comply with his wishes , like it or not. Everyone knows the hare is a superior athlete but at the same time needs to be controlled by legal methods. Its up to the individual to decide how.

Spotted this fox on the edge of some gorse , my mate said Ill take it from here . Anyway he made a good shot . 253 paces , a really big vixen. When I got home I had a tick lodged in my stomach , dont know if I got it from the fox or just picked it up off the cover. Anyone ever seen ticks on foxes ??????????
  15. No good mate , it will just work loose again with the force of opening and closing the bipod all the time. Better be safe than sorry and do the job right at the beginning .
  16. Hi mate. Any gun shop should stock them , I paid £4.50 for mine. You will have to countersink the inside of your stock to fix the nut. I looked at a couple in the shop and they had been done , I wonder if they are now onto the problem Good luck.........
