    Just studied them and a bit different to the old ones. Jay's can only be taken now to conserve endangered woodland birds . Magpies to conserve wild birds and direct livestock attack. How many shooters will use alternative methods first and keep records for 3 years detailing what alternative methods were used ,what serious damage they were causing and number of birds killed which must be produced if requested. I always have kept records anyway but now need to be more stringent. I can control pigeons , crows , rooks , jackdaws for crop protection. I can control magpies and Jay's as we have red

    Duck flighting is magical , just when you think nothing is coming and thinking about packing up the teal start dropping in ? Thing is it's often too dark to get on them.

    I know what you mean about getting excited when a fox is spotted , that is why I never tire of it . Just wish we had more to go at , but I've just been told by a farmer of a fox calling at the back of his so have an appointment once this fog lifts ?

    My pup is on a raw diet and eats venison, hare , rabbit , pheasant no problem but wouldn't eat goose ? I had to cook it for him .....

    Its amazing how easy it is to walk past them in the dark. I've shot them at night , couldn't find them then next day in the light picked them straight up.
