    Never read such rubbish, not a chip on his shoulder but the whole chip pan. Says he doesn't want permission.......yeah right believe that too...... Who wouldnt want permission, rabbits only of course ?

    With all this doom and gloom I thought I would go for a mooch with the pup ? He put a few pheasants up for me and I managed a couple. Will go crazy if I have to stay indoors ?

    Surely you must understand poaching is wrong ,and do you realise hare coursing is illegal. Shooting is legal that's the difference and the countryside would be a poorer place without shooting. I have nothing against lurchers , used to like watching a dog run but it's the knobhead owners that are the problem. Our shoot is plagued by poachers so I try to shoot all the hares now.

    I always thought that driven grouse shooting would get banned first but now it may be driven pheasants/ partridge if WJ get their way. Why dont we have a lobby as good as them at promoting shooting , they certainly get their teeth stuck in and don't let go.

    If they end up in Section 9 and treated like other non native species you will be able to clear them up out of season ?

    The weather wasnt bad actually, quite a nice evening , breezy but not cold.

    Anyway I was invited duck shooting tonight to my mates shoot. The guns went on the main pond and as I was a guest me and my mate went on a splash 2 fields away . Anyway we were out of the shooting but I did manage a first for me , 2 teal came in and I dropped both with 1 shot ? The guns on the pond had a good flight shooting 4 Canadas ,mallard , teal wigeon and a gadwall.

    Gove has already stated today that their is a possibility that lockdown could be extended that's before we've even started. I think it will be extended til at least the New Year , they are just easing us in gently.

    You can visit the countryside with 1 other person from another household , doesnt say with a gun or not so I'm shooting. Basc will no doubt make a statement soon.

    Reading new lockdown restrictions, you can visit the countryside with 1 other person outside of your household.

    I think so too , gradually chipping away at shooting.

    Defra have agreed to license the release of pheasants and partridges around protected sites , so wont apply to our shoot.
