Had a look out for some rabbits last night in the cold and wet , this ground is up near the fells and absolutely waterlogged. I have only lamped this ground once so was surprised at how skittish the rabbits were , maybe the keeper has been at them ? I squelched about and chipped away at the ones that sat a bit too long , testing shooting with the wind blowing me about on my sticks. Once my bag was full I headed back to the car to drop them off and proceeded to slip and land flat on my back in a load of mud.The rifle scope and torch were covered in shit . There is no doubt that foxes can see IR , witnessed it many times. Many a time a fox has been coming in to the caller committed with my mate watching through his Archer with no IR , switch on the IR and fox bolts. They can see it and do react to it ?

I never let them be as always good numbers but this year due to being furloughed and not the foxes about I have filled my time in with the bunnies. Plus the farmers want rabbits eradicating but I always leave enough to breed.

My mate reckons he must have had it last December as was very ill and thought he was going to die. His whole factory came down with the same thing.

Very sad mate. ? Cant have everything I suppose , you have loads of foxes and deer ?? I have made an effort this year on the bunnies and really enjoyed it , 680 up to now.
