    My pups first full season had 6 on the lamp at the end of last season ! Had a lot of work to do with her recall since that and she's come on very well ! She's done well on some big nights but made sure not to over doo it with her ! Here's a few pictures !

    I think as you said self preservation will have a lot to do with it! The older running dogs like the greyhound would have that a lot more than a terrier blooded dog! And then I think when you add the clever "live for tomorrow " collie ! Don't think your gonna get many foxing lurchers from this breeding then?

    Cracking read this is! As been said when you travel far you want to but as many bunnies away as possible but I do enjoy the nights were you slow down and appreciate the ten or so runs you get!

    Tb25 what cross is she? Mine is not a huge fan of this weather were having now! Cheers tomo ye I'm not pushing her to hard for the numbers yet don't wanna over do it! What we've both noticed is the amount of ground the young whippet x covers compared to the older more wiser dog of Keegan's she covers ever blade of crass for a bunny where his dog is a lot more calmer and takes them quicker ! And yes I had him powting for the first hour of our journey home was very funny he miss counted one and thought he had 50 put bag at the van when we counted up he was wrong but not the first time he he's ad

    Yes bird think your always gonna get that with the whippet cross although it was extreme condition ! When we dropped off I couldn't wait to get some bunnies in my bag to keep me warm! I chose the whippet cross for it's style of running very up and at them and hoping be the start of my line but still a long way to go as it's only her first season! I've enjoy this season with her so far and nice to have a dog I can run regular again! Yes it is a long way to go for a few bunnies but it's better than staying at home for the night I think because I have youth on my side it makes it easier to get up

    Sorry only now seen this! Ye she's going ok she was a hard pup to train very head strong but matured now and she's a joy to own! How's the pup getting on what height did it make?

    Ain't been on here much so thought I would share a night out me and keeganress on here had out! Set out from my house at 6.30 pm for 300 mile drive ! After a long expensive stop in the services we arrived at our spot at 1.00am ! The weather was perfect Almost to perfect for my young whippet cross! Started off nicely with 6 from the first field had a drop off then headed up hill!both dogs were running well and both catching well the young dog was on 17/17 by our next drop were we had 29 to drop off!     well this made me laugh fair play! The dog pissing on you ! Sounds like he's got good Character! My oldest lurcher has good character ! She's made me look stupid Infront of company many of times but she bring a smile to my face! I really enjoy working with the collie cross ! I'm not a one breed man I would try others but for me know the collie cross suits my style of hunting!

    I enjoy the collie cross ! A very enjoyable partner in crime out in the field (don't mean anything illegal ) ! These are a few pictures of my dogs two I have now and two that have past on to a better hunting life! Only good thing about modern Technology is have the camera phones! Got hundreds of my now present dogs but very little of my previous hounds where I don't have a camera to hand quite so easy! Out for a look on the lamp this evening weather has be good to us this winter ! Speak like I'm an oldie only 24 haha happy hunting!
