    ive been out with mine ferreting abit young i no,only took her with the longnets and she doesent mouth them in the net just thort it would be alrite to do with purse nets.good luck with that i cant wait to do abit of longnetting at night.

    sounds good ive neva tired makeing my own nets i have a little gate net but not many places to use it,my dogs has a good nose and shes still young so im hopeing to do abit of hunting up with the nets.Do you stop your dog mouthing in the longnets i was thinking stoping mine in the longnet and try and have her to hold them in the purse what do you think about training a dog that i duno if it could be done?cheers

    ye i wanted to try it with my old dog but she died quite young she was a 5/8collie 3/8greyhound.So i will keep at it the pup in the picture is only 7months i was just traning her to jump it and dont touch the rabbit in the net.what cross do u have ?cheers mate

    I think you would see alot more softed mouth dogs back in the day.A good old pot filler without big burises but i have heard of people with soft mouthed dogs

    i prefer albinos because i find them easyer to see i dont think they work any better than others just prefer them

    does many people work there dogs with the longnet.i dont think it the lurcher is the best choice for night work as it is a hard job to do.Does anyone work the longnet with there lurcher at night

    ye shes very good with ferrets but its sometimes the ferret that dont get along with the dog.ill adjust the camera next time im out thanks for the help

    shes 7months old this friday ,shes got abit of everything in her the mother was a hancocks 5/8bearide border mix 3/8 greyhound reverse cross and the father is a collie greyhound whippet put to a alsation collie then put to a saluki gryhound back to a bull greyhound whippet it was an accidental mating
