  4. the camera is a canon 500d with a canon ef 75-300 is lens. I've looked at the booklet but can't figure out most of it so don't bother with it now. I guess i'm a bit long in the tooth for new gadgets No matie, just need someone to show you the settings...ANY CANON USERS HERE TO HELP?   5. Kritti..what camera have you got? Your settings are wrong what you are using, some of them last shots should have come out mint, you should be seeing the lice on the feathers on them..
  6. When i first moved to Ashington about 18yrs ago (Old North Seaton colliery), there was a builder up a ladder mending a window on my house. I was stood on the step shouting the cat in (Called Floosie) He shouted down..."you wanna be carefull, you'll have half the women in Ashington running across the fields" Moll...I was that builder

Good flight shots can be incredibly difficult to get, soaring birds like buzzards, kites and some seagulls are great to practice on, but as its already been said, it can also be difficult to get that important detail, control the whites on the bird, especially gulls, swan etc getting the picture sharp against backgrounds like bright sky, grass, bushes etc..fast flying birds are of course always going to be that much difficut to capture, then small fast flying birds are even more difficult, diving birds are nigh on impossible except for the more experienced photographer with better equipment..a
