    I agree I have nothing to be sorry about I shall rephrase "Dan I agree with gafer on this one. Just because a dog is big doesn't mean it isn't good at picking up rabbits or an equal match to a smaller dog. It depends on the dog itself. I have an old first cross deerhound/greyhound here, she is at least 29" tts and she would often beat the smaller lurchers to rabbits when they were out together. She did this regularly even into her old age, when she was in good health, on all kinds of land. Shes old and quite poorly now, I would give my right arm to have her back as a young dog and start a

    Thanks for the comments...I rarely if ever take pictures of birds at feeders, but got this one that some may like..the bottom goldie seems to be a bit of "pea throat"

    We ran a few of these when the Northumberland and Durham working lurcher club was going..went well at first, then arguments started, as usual.... heats were ran, 5 rabbits each dog, each dog took turns to run a rabbit, the dog that had the most rabbits after this was the winner, in the event of a tie, it went to sudden death. Semi finals it went to 10 rabbits, as did the final. Each competitor had to have land to run the competition on Ws initially a great idea, and good fun..
