Shops like agm and lure world are dangerous , you go on for a packet of jig heads and a few minutes later end up £50 lighter .
-
They are good catchers and well finished unlike a lot of the american lures . Ive found that a twitch and pause retrieves work well for perch with them . I got mine for a fiver each from a tackle shop that opened in accrington recently , they had a couple left last time i was in .

I've just emailed the bloke from The colorsofbagleys because they could be very rare , according to the site the no1 in sinking versions are like hens teeth and mine are both sinkers . I don't think they are nothing special in use , I tried them last night and had one hit on one but a switch to a yo zuri goby brought a couple of perch straight away and the yellow kopyto took a couple of jacks and perch from the same area .

Its not that hard to get in paas and dont let the waiting list put you off , it was only just over a year for me and i think walshie0988 off here was something similar . For the money its well worth joining for the amount of waters they have , from the welsh wye to the liddle in the scottish borders and most of the major rivers and tributaries in between aswell as the stillwaters. As for remembering lure names , im a bit ocd with them , ive got loads and i can tell you what they all weigh aswell . Which ones did you win in the comp , I do like his lures and the amount of colours he offers and

It is tempting to shut them , but im curious to see if they are worth the money they are going for so im going to have an hour on the canal before dark. Hopefully i wont lose them or ill have to hide the razor blades

Are there any lure collectors on here that can tell me what the crack is with the bagley bang o lure #1 . I picked some up at the weekend for next to nothing and i had a look online for some more last night and cant believe the prices they are going for . They ranged from $25 to $125 , obviously colour plays a part but why so expensive for a lure thats only 1.5inch long and weighs a couple of grams

Quality lures and not dear either . Where was the competition , on his blog or the las forum . Ive got some of his crank n beans and had a fair few jacks off the top with them aswell as perch when ive fished them sub surface. I got a result at the prince albert show yesterday, £4 for two bagley bang o lure #1,s and three 1,5/8ths rebel minnows all bnib. They should be spot on for perch on the canal

I use jig heads with them , usually in the 0.5 to 3.5 gram range . The white glitter and the chartreuse glitter ones are what I use mainly but all the colours catch . I don't bother with dropshotting because I find it a bit dull even though it does work . Some other agm lures I use are bass asassin and their own curly tail grubs and some of the 1.5inch hrt carp crankbaits in roach , crucian and perch pattern . They are only cheap but I've had a lot of perch and pike on them . Lure world is another good shop , especially for kopytos and they also do the gloog hektor crankbaits as well which ar

If you like curly tail grubs have a look at the orca twister tails and orca mermaids at agm , they are the lures ive usually got on if i dont have a yellow or white kopyto on

Feltons in Preston is not bad . It's not the cheapest place but the stuff they sell is not tat like the stuff you see at a lot of army surplus shops

I used to be the same , dt for all my trout fishing but earlier this year I got some new Rio lines and a snowbee thistledown and while I'm not that impressed with the rios the snowbee thistledown is brilliant. It's so thin it lands and lifts off with barely a ripple yet with one or two false casts It will cast as far as you need it to and with the silk furled leader I use it turns my drys over perfectly even using longish 2lb tippets .
-
I used to use dt for everything but all my lines bar one are wf now . If you do get a dt you can turn it round when one end gets worn or do what some people do and cut it in half for 2 lines

Was that not screaming reels . Paul young does hooked on fishing unless they have got someone new doing it yep your right it was paul young, little Scottish fella wasn't he? Thats him . He did another more recent one called fishing road trip usa aswell i think

Think ill give uttings a ring in the morning to see if they have the prestige st in stock to fit me . They are doing them with free boots for 199 so they are a fair bit cheaper than the visions
-
Thanks . Which model have you got , are they breathable ones or one of the other types
-
Im looking for some new chesties after my current pair let me down badly yesterday , im thinking either snowbee prestige st , vision kura ultras or vision ikon zips. Im leaning towards the visions but before i get some has anyone had any of the visions or snowbees and how did you rate them .

I'm having a drive over to to jewsons on Saturday to get it . I'm going to get the no1 ticket aswell if they do it there . The bloke who runs hebden bridge anglers emailed me late on , on Monday telling me what waters they have and they only have 1 stretch of the calder so it's not worth me getting that instead of the r&h ticket .
-
Thanks , I'll bell them tomorrow

they reckon the [bANNED TEXT] is now the best spring salmon river in england ... prepare for the rents to increase lol I read something like that aswell about the [BANNED TEXT] recently . Looks like bradford no1 is a bargain if that is the case .
-
Thanks for that . I looked at bradford city but didnt bother looking at no1 because i thought they were more of a carp/coarse club. Just been on their site though and they have a couple of waters (nidd at pately bridge and aire at broughton) that are fairly close to me so it might be worth me joining them instead

Is this the bloke , dont know if the link will work ,if it doesnt search youtube for sniper sergeant craig harrison . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ooaummFPDA

Is anybody a member of ryburn and halifax anglers or hebdon bridge anglers , Im going to join one of them but dont know which one has the better fishing . Ive looked for info on heben bridge anglers but cant find anything about what stretches they have or where they are . Its mainly the rivers hebdon and calder im intrested in for fly fishing for trout and grayling .

They are taller . Ive had mine for about 18 months and they are still going strong . When it comes time to replace them ill be going for the same again.

wish I'd not bothered staying up for that , totally one sided . Fury did what he needed to do but chisora was a let down
