I thaught bird of prey keepers couldn't feed shotgun shot birds/rabbits to their birds of prey? I never did and none of the lads i know with birds do either
-
I hope they don't have dodgy clutches , I've just bought it and pick it up Thursday after they've mot'd it
-
Ill go and have a look at it tomorrow and if its as good as the ad makes out ill have .
-
Cheers for that . Loads of the reviews said the same thing , never go wrong and they would buy another one . What sort of mpg does it do , autotrader have got it down as doing 39 combined

Anybody had any experience with an hyundai tuscon 2lt diesel. Ive just seen a top spec one on a 55 plate for 3000 and they seem to get good reviews on the sites ive looked at . I dont need an hardcore offroader , just something reliable for farm tracks and the odd field aswell as being my everyday car

I thought the 3.5's might be a bit much , probably end up with the 3's just because of the chance of a cat . Must admit when they first came out I thought they were a bit of a gimmick but the more I've thought about it the more the benefits of the shorter rods has grown on me and most of the waters I'll be on are 2 - 20 acre so long range casting doesn't matter

Anybody got any scope rods and how do you rate them . Im thinking of getting some of the 9ft ones but not sure which tc to get and the shops round here dont have them in stock to go and look at . Ive heard the 2.75 is a bit soft so im thinking either 3 or 3.5lb which seems high but they look to be the popular tc in them . They will be for smallish waters with carp averaging doubles with the odd 20+ and the odd cat to mid double

Nice one . You get plenty of fish that just follow and not take or just grab the tail without hooking up but i never bother adding a stinger mainly just for ease of unhooking . I dont know if you did it but never ignore the inside margins , even if it looks like theres nothing there . The amount of perch and pike you can catch with the lure virtually touching the side is surprising and the speed a pike will hit your lure under your feet as you go to lift it out will make you jump . It happens so quick sometimes , it doesnt register straight away , one second your looking at the lure and then i -
What are buzzbaits JB. . They are like a spinnerbait but work the top water
-
Have a look at the spro frogs here http://www.thepikeshop.co.uk/lures/frogs . Theres a few vids of them on youtube , i think river piker has done some on them .
-
are they rubber lures? The dawgs (bulldawgs) and kopytos are but the hellhounds are 6-10inch solid resin glidebaits and the squirrely burts are 11 inch plastic pull baits with a short rubber tail
-
For out and out piking ive got 3 favourites , musky mania squirrely burts , ERC hellhounds and dawgs . For ultralighting kopytos take some beating
-
Normally either millicano or azera but douwe egberts pure gold is what I'm liking at the minute
-
Brilliant rods , I had one for chub and perch and wish I'd never sold it . If I remember right I think Simeon bond had something to do with that series and they did have a look of the freespirit rods .

What Neil r says is spot on, just to add to that the agm muscle jigheads are a bit better quality still cheap as chips though, the south bend wire traces are quality too The muscle jig heads are good and i usually go for them if they have them in stock in the size im after. knot2kinky is good wire and can be knotted aswell if you want to make your own . 6 and 8 inch Jakes and squirrely jakes are good if you like flat sided baits , ive tried the really big 12or 13 inch ones but they dont seem as good , only had follows on them -

Sorry for being abit thick but do the Shads and frog jobbys come with out hooks etc, do you have to mount them on something yourself, cheers. You can get both rigged and unrigged . I favour unrigged shads ( manns action shads are good by the way) so I can adjust the weight of the jig head to suit the depth of the water and also the wind on the day . Agm is probably the cheapest place for jig heads from size 12 to 7/0 . I use 1 to 1/0 for 2 - 2,1/2 inch kopytos but you can use a bit bigger if you wanted . Be careful of the kopytos on eBay , half of the ones I've seen on there are nothing of the -

Friendly fisherman is Andy lush , he used to do a lot of the proper jerkbaits but seems to be moving more towards the smaller stuff these days . He bought the et brand out a while back and did a cracking range of rods with Gordy aswell as tools , alarms and terminal tackle . The shops over in the states have way more choice and are cheaper for lures , I used to order from jackson lures over in the states and even getting stung by customs it was well worth it -

Harris angling no longer around mate, sue sold up and now has a eco-tourist place in central america,my mates been over a few times and fished with her. Still going with different owners but not lure orientated any more just another general shop now with the usual fox and savage gear stuff Yup,i cant remember who bought them out,i do remember salivating over the catalogues when they came through the letter box,all those pages of incredible lures and they sold a great selection of micro-rods and reels, they were before their time,or rather she was as my mate said she was the driving force behind -

You can't go wrong buying from AGM . The kopytos are brilliant lures with colours 055 chartreuse yellow and 001 white being must have colours . Crazy fish minnows and big bite crappie thumpers and orka twister tails are also worth getting from there . If you want hard baits they do Bomber lures and theHRT carp lures in roach , crucian and perch patterns have caught me a lot of fish . Another couple of shops to look at are Lure world for kopytos , phantoms , reno killers and gloog hectors and Lure lounge for z-man baits -
Catmaster tackle dominators come in 4,5,6 and 8lb tc but they are 10.9ft and harrison do a 10ft 6lb torrix continental catfish rodI need something small mate, the fish often run under the jetty and a smaller rod can muscle them out,i used a 10 Foot spod rod 5lb tests curve a few years ago,it was ok when they ran out into the lake but when they came at me it didnt cut it,I will have a look at the sturgeon rod and a few others, the cats in the lake run up to 330? pounds and the arapaima are much bigger,i dont want to go over there for a week long session undergunned. Daiwa do an 8.6ft 6lb tc and 9
