  1. That innocent blind pensioner in Chorley who was tazered might disagree with you Then the innocent blind pensioner in Chorley was not innocent, or blind, probably another benefit scammer, that'll save the taxpayer a wad. Not in this case . Google Colin farmer tazered

  3. Phil blakey has had a few on them on his vids of on youtube
  4. Sale water park , Hillside in burnley and borwick off j35 m6 have them . Theres also fellview syndicate near beacon fell Hillside has them??? That takes me back a few years It has cats to 50lb in the pond on the far right , think its called berts pool . They have got rid of the trout aswell and extended that pond and stocked a load of big carp from pendle view
  5. Just bought some of these to try. http://www.dynamitebaits.com/products/p/spicy-tuna-sweet-chilli-boilie-range Was talking to someone who was catching on them when I was on the river the other day . For years my number one barbel bait was dynamites meaty marine boilies , that was until they discontinued them . They've brought them back out now but I suspect they've made a slight change to it because they don't seem anywhere near as good this time round . Dynamites the crave and mainlines hybrid are good barbel and chub baits if you don't get on with the tuna and sweet chilli
  6. Normally id agree about the price not dropping , ive not known it before but for some reason it seems like everyman and his dog has got loads for sale and they are just trying to get shut rather than sit on a charge sheet.
  7. Paid 100 an oz last week for blue cheese and got amnesia haze for 130 a few weeks back . Its proper flooded up here , never known as much about
  8. Sounds easier but from what i can gather the quality and quantity is not as good . The price of green is through the floor round here anyway so its nearly as cheap to buy decent gear without the risks of growing it
  9. It means instead of vegging 18 hours on 6 off and flowering 12 on 12 off , they are self flowering , usually done on 20-4 but can be done under 24hours light . My mate has a seed bank and sells a lot of them but can't see the point in doing them myself .
  10. David Moyes has got the job
  11. Tuesday's itv4 at 8 , think it's repeated again during the week though
  12. Most people fish for predators with free running rigs because of the lack of resistance . I think it's the change in resistance that's that causes dropped runs but I wouldn't be confident of not getting dropped runs with bolt rigs . Bait wise you could try deads or lives (if allowed) , luncheon meat or liver , lob worm or leaches( if your feeling flush) or boilies and pellet . They will all catch fish but I suspect more cats are caught on boilie and pellet these days
  13. Sale water park , Hillside in burnley and borwick off j35 m6 have them . Theres also fellview syndicate near beacon fell
  14. Have a look at a bloke called Paul Adams on YouTube , he does lure making vids .
  15. No , it looks like the bypass bridge near express gifts though . It was up where the m65 goes near hapton
  16. Went down here at 5 this morning to try some new frog lures out . I had savage gear 3d frog , daiwa d popper frog , rapture dancer frog and a matzuo kroaker frog with me but couldn't raise any pike on them . Most of them looked good though except the matzuo kroaker which was useless and sank straight from the box , suffering like a lot of American lures from rubbish qc . Ended up putting a daiwa duck fin shad on and had a perch and a couple of jacks in about 10 minutes . The last and smallest one of about a lb destroyed the lure so I'll need to get the mini blowtorch on it and see if it will r
  17. The only braid i use for barbel is suffix stealth skin or sheath skin or whatever they are calling it this week . Ive been using it for years in 15lb on the ribble and had loads of barbel into doubles on it with no problems
  18. It's not known as the rubble for nothing . People like Eric Edwards and Dave lumb reckon it's the snaggiest river in England .
  19. If your still looking for one give anglers den in darwen a ring on 01254 706713 . I've just been in and he's got 3 for sale that he's serviced . Bottom left at £30 and the other 2 at £40 each with a spare spool.
  20. Not a fan of Abu multis , I've had 5501 , 6501 c3s and 6601 c4s and I've got a 5601 jb edition and they are a bit agricultural compared to even a basic 301-401 size shimano corvalus. I do like their closed face feels though and would have them over the daiwa versions any day . Fairplay, I've never been lucky enough to use a Shimano multi, they looked the dog's b's. I had some Shakespeare ones that were naff other than a gold lure one that I can't remember the name of. Had a 6500 level wind on a jerkbait rod that was bliss. If you ever get a chance to use one , take it , id be confident yo
  21. Cant see the appeal of the old mitchells myself , had them back in the day and they were not bad but time and technology move on and theres just no comparison with a modern shimano and like you they are the only fixed spool reels i will use . Theres a mk2 507 out now but dont know if it will be anygood , the mk2 506 gets a few bad reviews but mines been ok . Id rather have my old 501s back though

  23. I was watching them after started this post. They look spot on. Nothing seems to stick to them either. Im only guna take her overnight to start with so they seem perfect for what Im after so could do some supper and breakfast sarnies. Have you got one? I have the xl one and its brilliant . I only do toasties on it but my mates do allsorts on theirs and as long as you keep the heat low they dont burn and they really are non stick
  24. Have a look at the ridgemonkey toasty makers , they are awsome . You can make anything in them (have a look at ridgemonkey on youtube) and they are not too dear at about 16 for the standard one and 25 for the xl version . As for kettles just get a trangia one from go outdoors and you wont get hit with the carp tax from a tackle shop for the same thing with fox or trakker written on it
  25. One or two of my club still waters still have the traditional close season and a couple more shut for a month usually may/june time but 99% of them are open year round . Its been like that for a years now . The rivers are shut to coarse fishing as it always has been though
