I’ve got the 4 rod turn box but I don’t use the box to set the angles , I just use the croc sticks freehand and my knives are shaving sharp . They are proper easy to use and it doesn’t take long to put a razor edge on them . The sticks do need cleaning every now and then but Lansky do an eraser or you can use soapy water and a sponge .

I used to work at a calf rearers and it was always clean , we used to sweep the yard nearly every day and if we’d brought the sheep in or had a load of calf’s in the pens for dehorning we power washed the yard down . Plastics and twine were put in big sacks and taken to the tip . The farms either side were the same aswell but we once put some sheep on a farm over ribchester/Longridge way and it was manky . The yard was deep in shit and feed sacks , wrapping and netting was everywhere , bits of it stuck on fences and hedges . All they did with it was pile it in the yard and it just got blown

Don’t know about perch but lure fishing for pike at night is worth doing . Phil blakey is well known for it , he did articles in the old p&p mag about it even catching on surface lures . He might have vids on his YouTube channel of him doing it . Think Black Country piker might have some aswell on his channel

This is a couple caught on the fly last year on the canal . Most of the fish we get round here are only little jacks with the occasional bigger one . I’ve only lure and fly fished for them for years now so it could be that they are there but I’m missing them by not using bait

Nice flies . Like you I sold my tying gear years ago , I’ll probably get back into to it at some point . I do have some poppers and also some mouse topwaters but I’ve not used them yet but they’ll be getting some use on the canal once it warms up a bit

Had a few hours on the rising fishery on the new predator lake with a mate earlier . It was a bit slow because of the ice cold water but I managed a little jack on a small bunny bug and a better one on the 10inch tinsely thing . While I was sorting the pike rash out so my mate picked my rod up and had a few casts and got another decent one near enough straight away on the same fly .

Been watching the qualifiers and the giants live stuff and I’ll be watching the final tonight even though everyone knows the result , just hope it shows Thor spit the dummy out

I was watching it and I used to like the atmosphere in the crowd but the naff chants of what a boring table , yaya-kolo toure and worst of all stand up if you love the darts every couple of minutes have really begun to bug me to the point I either turn it off or mute it . Saying that , that cross fella is doing alright

When I used to fish there I used to put one rod across to the boats on the other side and drop one straight down off the rod top on a sunken float paternoster rigged big herring right at the corner of the canal/basin . Had pike to 20 from there and loads of other doubles but strangely only ever had one jack

This is a genuine question and I might be being a bit thick here but how do the backdated bans work . I understand that Tyson was out of the ring for 2 years and that covers it but Hughie carried on fighting so hasn’t missed the 2 years like Tyson did . I’m not bothered whether he’s served the ban or not , just curious how it’s been backdated

Anyone see the smith injury , first time I’ve seen something like that in the ring . He was losing anyway but there was no way he could of carried on like that . The solido v Roman fight on the same card was a good one , a proper toe to toe Mexican fight

Another easy night for lomachenko , totally mugged rigendeaux off and made him look amateurish and resorting to grabbing hold and fighting dirty . I saw some compu box stats that say he didn’t land more than 3 punches in any round .

I’ve said the same thing about this . Every time wilder is forced to fight a live opponent this seems to happen to them and the fight quietly goes away . If I was in to conspiracy’s I’d say someone with a lot of power in the game is protecting him for some reason , maybe because they are making money off him or maybe just to keep an American heavyweight champion , who knows but this doesn’t seem to happen with other fighters . If that’s not the case then he must be the most unlucky bloke in boxing but why is it always the ones that will hit him back that this happens to . He’s had 39 fight

I got some berghaus merino ones from go outdoors that are not bad . I wear them for wading in winter and dont get cold feet in them and they arent that expensive

Think Micheal venom Paige is on the bill aswell , be interesting to see how he adapts to the switch from MMA and if hes still as entertaining as he is in the octagon

Watched it last week and thought the same , all their so called mates who helped them bubbled them straight away with virtually no prompting . Im sure its all scripted just to try and keep a bit of interest and tension in the show because they dont seem to be able to disappear for more than a few minutes before a new lead drops in the chasers laps

Went back with them myself last month with a 60% off for 12 months deal so I got phone , broadband and everything else bar movies which Im not bothered about for just over 40 a month .
