I lost a ferret a while back and thought she was dead tbh ,,,,she was spotted by the landowner a few days ago so i went over to the bank he,d seen her and started calling at the holes,,within a couple of minutes out she come i was chuffed til i picked her up ,,,with a belly full of young......

Had a call out today locally for mice went round and its an elderly couple in a cottage, any way doing the normal checking around and the lady said can you shake the curtain in the bedroom as her husband see one run up their earlier..cut a long story short done it something dropped ,,,pygmy shrew ,,caught it and then caught another in the hallway....never had a problem with shrews before indoors before anyone else had similar??

Yeh but there's a lot of English who are lazy feckers and won't work that's what pees me off I have to pay to keep them ffs.im doing call outs saying they have rats,mice,ants,woodlice or cockroaches and when I get to there property either early morning (9.30) or late afternoon(3.00pm) the lazy shites are still in bed and won't answer the door.i would stop there money and make them work.they are no different from me If wages went up and they were better off at work maybe they wouldnt want to sit at home, but thats never going to happen with all the cheap foreign labour anyway......

Not as far as you but i moved to somerset in a little villlage about twelve yr ago pub either end post office/shop in the middle ,to be honest i,d never move back the missus struggled proper for the first 4 or 5 yr but all good now....good luck

TBH mate I don't think I could be too far from the sea, spend a lot of time on it or by it... I love mackerel to eat, barbecued whole is great, filleted and turned in flour with salt and pepper then quickly shallow fried is how I've had them for years (my mum always done them like that). you can do loads with them and they take extra flavours well This is last Sunday, only caught 4 so done them whole, rubbed in olive oil with paprika and chilli powder rubbed in, little tomato salsa thing, some potatoes with chorizo and a bit of ratatouille .... lovely!!
