  1. Nice going TJ I've just got a new bit of permission that has three grain warehouses in the middle. Had a mooch last week and there are a few runs there that might be worth a go - I think you've got me hooked mate
  2. well done that man looks a good clean catch
  3. Yes make a formal complaint but I don't suggest you follow willrennyferreter's advice. I am sure it was just impassioned outburst but this would really work against you.
  4. in fact the next few weeks are your best opportunity. The end of the season is when the 'keepers days' take place when many of the beaters get to shoot. Sometimes they take it in turns to walk and shoot but an extra body is always useful at these times. thats how i got in.
  5. There is one on www.guntrader.co.uk for £50 in lancashire
  6. No. I've seen them advertised though - seem effective. How come you have so many ?

    Donations

I think it's time we all moved off this now, it is becoming out of all proportion. I am not trying to close down anyone's freedom of speech or negate anyone's opinion but I am going to delete the other threads on this. Donation is voluntary - there should be no pressure exerted or felt by any member. As moderators we will have to watch out for this more in the future. It is true that the ability to donate has not been very well promoted - an that is down to Ian and the moderators for not making more of it. As a result we have had a few 'recruitment drives' which I am sure were welcome,

Sadly I think you are probably right.

    CHANNLE 4

A reduction in 'battery' demand - either through consumer choice or a ban of some sort, would end up bringing the price of free range down anyway. The free range production would be scaled up and the overheads per bird would be reduced. And anyway we don't really know what the cost difference at the farm gate is - how much of the extra cost is supermarket markup on a 'high end' product ? You'd soon see that get hammered too when free range becomes the arena for intense competition. And if chicken does become a bit more expensive there might be a market again for rabbits - kentuck
  12. Only in West Wales presumably ?
  13. LL can I just say that is about the most constructive and inteligent contribution of yours I can ever remember reading. An experiment conducted in the scientific method with a clear purpose, with proper 'control' bottles made from the same crop but in the traditional way. And the whole thing articulated in English. Anyway back to the point - I always leave mine on the fruit for 12 to 14 months, then bottle it off and store for another year if I can.
  14. I think you'll find that it now means 'goodbye'
  15. Is this the same thing ? http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=32813
  16. OK still everyone is not getting it. This morning I have had to delete one incomplete topic and about 6 'BUMP's. You're lucky it was me because most of the other mods would have binned your whole topic. Oh and any valueless addition to your own advert will be taken to be a 'bump'
  17. Here the Sloe Gin thread - http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...amp;hl=sloe+gin was that what you wanted ? or bramble whiskey ? Basically the same process anyhow. Sounds like an FAQ ....
  18. You give up tooo easy Here it is http ://www1.agric.gov.ab.ca/$departme.../all/agdex3496 ..
  19. My advice would be not to spoil it then.
  20. More or less LL, yes. However I mae some once and thought it was yak. Be better off making blackberry vodka or gin in my view, but it comes down to your own taste in the end
