  1. And me They had 6 in at my store and when I bought mine at about ten past 9 this morning they had 2 left - so they're probably all gone by now.
  2. I like the idea but I think I'd be worried about my fingers - I like gravity working with me holding the dog on, not working against me.
  3. From The Vegetable Expert by Dr .G. Hessayon SPRAING Tubers are normal on the surface; discoloured inside. There are various causes - viruses, trace element deficiency or water shortage. Treatment: None Prevention: Practise crop rotation. Do not grow Pentland Dell which is very susceptible http://www.potato.org.uk/department/knowle...ef.html?item=27
  4. You may find that there is a professional video available after the event - it's often as much about £ as it is about the kids

  7. It's not a bad organisation and does a lot to promote and encourage. The trouble is that membership carries no weight with keepers as it doesn't prove anything - anyone with a fiver can join. The sort of background checks, personal 'vouching' and other sorts of screening that a real beaters 'staff agency' would need are impractical. In the end it will always come down to being recommened by a mate or a face to face with the keeper so he can weed out anyone that doesn't seem right. I have, through NOBS, found someone some beating but NOBS was only the start - it wasn't till we real
  8. This is 'the bear' as claimed at the time, but I think this all got exposed as some sort of urban myth. A number of seperate incidents linked together and then some
  9. a very good post - you really put some effort into that
  10. And me. However I have found it works best in spring / summer and if there is a similar 'nest' outside as well, up against the cage. Also a few cubes of spread scattered around as an inital attractor There's another thread about this from before http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=26158

  16. Yes mate - got about a dozen left. I have had a positive response from more or less everyone who's bought this book but I have had one customer who was a bit disappointed with the level of detail. So just to be fair I'd just like to emphasise that the sample pages I've shown on here are typical of the book as a whole. There are no detailed measurements, cutting lists or assembly instructions - just lots of clear illustrations of how different traps works. You have to have a bit of skill to be able to work out how to make them from there. If anyone is really unhappy once they get t
  17. I think we should all join - I could post some interesting pics on their grey squirrel section

    teal shooting

Looks like a cold start there this morning.
  19. It's not as small as it looks LL. There is a top rail on the outer and a bottom rail either side of the fenn - if you look it doesn't go all the way to the top on the box that's caught.. the little cut out is just to channel them to the pan.
  20. I find these fenn boxes quite discreet. You use them with a lid on.
  21. Come on Bob- try harder A quick search on ebay for 'cat repel*' turns up a range of options; (here) chemical, natural and electronic, although I suspect ultrasonic devices they may upset your dog too. I think once you're in and using the garden you'll find the problem reduces, especially if the dogs are around. One important point is to remove the shit that's there otherwise they will be attracted back regularly. I don't think any more direct option is going to be appropriate.
  22. I must admit I have never tried it. Most pigeon traps are of the bob wire design see here http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=17850 and here http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=26537
