MINTY, ...... Pinacalada flavour is far better.
  2. WOW. thats pretty impressive, bet the .338 laupa magnum has got its fair share or clout, have a feeling the army use them in favour of the .50cal. some round. And i would agree with dangerous game its proberly better to go bigger than just really wind it up. lol.
  3. RWS excalibre carbine with 3-9x50IR Hawke night-eye ,logun silencer and 9-13tilt Deben bipod. I wouldnt imgainge there are too many of these around, I can across it by accident. Fantastic walnut stock and i love the bolt, personally i love it but im a tad bias i think.
  4. from what i've heard from mechanics, dont.
  5. When i go off roading it always seems the discos are first to be dragged out or break down...sometimes when they are still on the road. Have you had a look at a Susuki SJ, tiny lil thing but still amazing amount of space in boot and a rag top is the nuts for lamping. I imagine its pretty good on juice as its soo light (only took 4 of out mates to pick it up put it on all fours, its not unstable its just the particular section was somewhat tricky and the confidence of youth and all that)
  6. What about for these people who go on hunting safaris and what not , where they shoot those massive buffalo and other massive animals?
  7. Tut tut people these days...always looking at the glass half empty. You seem to have over looked that you still got yourself a nice pair of lucky rabbit feet... well...not that lucky the rabbit would argue i guess.
  8. those real tree fanatics do make me laugh, i was flickin through the countrymans weekly and found an advert for a real tree ferret box and a all real tree knife, blade and all. if this cathes on the country side will be riddled with ferrets in boxes and knives, absolutly ridiculous,
  9. I must admitt i am a sucker for dressing up to go shooting, breeks, brogues the lots, i always get funny looks in petrol stations or the chippy when im wearing my gear. just the other week i was having a look at a massive warren on a shooting friends land as he wanted them sorted, so i took the shotgun and wasnt in breeks but wa still pretty smart, low and behold some people came up to me (completely off the footpath) one asked for a picture the other asked if he could have a go of my gun...needless to say my responce was a No.. and your tresspassing at the moment....foot paths over there.
  10. well, it depends, which neighbour p***ed me off last. i kid, both neighbours are lovely peoples.
  11. i think ferret running aroungd will do the trick they will shit themselves with that smell of a ferret. when i worked in a musical instrument shop we had mice so i let the ferrets have a good rummage round they caught one and the rest seemed to move on after that.
  12. Dont mean to hijack the thread and i appolagise in advance, But what cartridges do you all use. i always use Express 3" magnums but they are pretty dear i think. also can only get them in no6 and i prefer 5 or 4 for bolting rabbits.
  13. i use no.5 for everything from driven phesant, duck, rabbits, crows , pigeons the lot. I tried no6 on pigeons before and found them ok but few got a full dose but carried on, they are surprisingly tough lil critters especially with a full crop, now i use nothing but 5s You wont go wrong with 5s some bloke was telling me that he uses 8s and 7.5s for pigeon, i cant see then taking them down at any worthwhile range. edited to say i vouch for quality cartridges like express. i use Express super twenty fibre no5 does the trick....when i hit them.
  14. When my uncle was a game keeper we used to have one drive where loads of muntjack always used to be flushed from so oonce a year we did a driven deer shoot, they can be done humanely with a shotgun, but as its been said a rifle is a far surerway of doing it...less meat damage as well. some years back must admit.
  15. Im not sure anyone on this site is a rabbit's "favourite human"
  16. Yh it is adrenaline and other chemicals that induce rigor mortice, such as lactic acid (stuff that gives you cramp) and other stuff, when something dies everything relaxes and releases everythign hormones and all that lark! As for the rabbit trappa is talking bout , just strange i think, mabe temperature or something had something to do with it.
  17. Love .410s , dont know why, maybe just reminisant of my first experience but none the less love it.
  18. If i got a pound for every "easy" shot i've missed, and shotguns are a tad different to air rifles lads. And id rather have a challenge than just a lump on the floor. why i use a 20. thats the sport aspect of driven shoots. cant imagine the flight being great, if anythimg at all. Guinea fowl fly "alright" and are good alarm birds...bloody tasty to.
  19. Ian hodge feild sport £65 with optional free delivery. I didnt understand how Ian hodge can charge less than the company who make it
  20. I'll find out from my uncle game books, all i can remember is that it would have made me look like a good shot. im not that terrible honest.lol.
  21. if your just after a different bird to shoot, what about guinea fowl, or quails even, bloody quick those.
  22. I dunno...a huge dog towering above me would make me move pretty sharpish with out the littlens.
  23. if there are foxes there you may end up with a few bodyless bunnies. have you looked at long netting, presuming the horses are put away at night. also have would one of those drop boxes do the job, as long as the horses are not near it i think that would be you best option
  24. I gave it a chance because no reveiws on it but asumed most of deben stuff pretty good, delivered this morning and its first class. it the 9-13 Tilt model for only £65. Would recommed it to anyone, although i havent used a harris bipod i cant see spend that money on something the Deben delivers well.
  25. slightly different but on an army shoot 4 blokes two shots each at one hen phesant....still was flying.
