  1. yeah hight velocity or hyper velocity not fussed just as long as they are accurate and have enough punch
  2. What HV load is best HP or solid? and any makes and models that are any good?
  3. I would very strongly advise you buy a rifle if you want to shoot live quarry at a distance, i have a crosman 2240 and its great for shooting mink and other vermin on traps and snares but i would only get about 10 shot per CO2 cartridge that are powerful enough for this. for target and plinking then its a good lil fun pistol. but for vermin at a distance a cheapish spring air rifle such as a secondhand webley stingray or BSA lightening would be good gun for what you need.
  4. Rabbits can be tacken all year round with an air rifle, theres no closed season and they breed...well....like rabbits. The gestation period is very short (a matter of weeks) and tthe kittens (baby rabbits) are out and about pretty soon after. A haevily pregnant doe is quite obvious through a scope so if your not inclined to take the shot its entirly your choice. good luck
  5. i been told .223 can have a moderator, any ideas if this is actually benfitial as i i cant imagine sub sonic factory loads in this.....
  6. Sorry to bring up such a debated issue but..... What rifle is capable of takin the odd longish range rabbit (past .22lr reach) but primarily for foxes no further than 250yrds max. been looking at both a .223 and a .22hornet. any advice ???
  7. Definatly the side by side: look better, sit nice on your arm rather than a u/o, i get a better swing with mine, and i just generally wouldnt use anything else for game.
