  5. Those express are the one i'm after, but i'll be damned if my local will get some in for me , then had the cheek to tell me thats not what i want but rather i want 6s (miraculously what they had in stock) even after telling them that i exclusivly didnt want 6s, what ever happened to customer service. I suppose the problem lies because i dont want to buy a load of them but rather 2 or 3 boxes (moneys tight untill i see how this interveiw for a butchers in a few weeks...fingers crossed)

  8. Oh yeah. my uncle had that done, before he gave it to me. Does anyone know how much to start reloading these would be, only for a small amount, i've heard there are hand tools you can get rather than getting the press and all.
  9. Failing that, might have a look into reloading the blighters.

Bloody aliens...making my wheatabix even more expensive. If i get my hand on one.......
  12. Yeah, that said my local one is pants, saying that no one makes them in anything bigger than no.6, and then added if i wanted some winchesters i would have to buy 1000 at £17 odd quid a box of 25. My .410 is pretty old, 1900 i think, so im guessing either full or 3/4 choke, When i was a kid (ok when i was more of a kid) i always used Winchester no.4 either 3" or 2 1/2 (cant remember) through it and they worked a treat, even shot driven stuff with a bolt action. I have a box of express no.6 3" and i really really dont rate them at all (bad batch? - i dont know) the reason i say this is i
  13. Is the mesh taught, because if it is the fox can just run and use it to climb up, but with a "floopy" fence they climb up and it doesnt allow then to put pressure on the fence without it giving way. But still a lead injection seems another component of the solution. and maybe a electric fencwe wouldnt go a miss
  14. Im in the process of find some .410 3" magnums with no.4 or no.5 shot, i know express do them as well as eley, but i'll be danmed if anyone stocks them. If anyone has an idea or a shop willing to only me in a few boxes, could let me know. cheers.
  15. Isnt that how things started in "The Birds" ......... get thos e silver bullets and pellets on order. lol.
  16. Very very true, I apolagise for the nievety. Do you rekon he aimed between all the specs of dust as well?
  17. Not many animals get an immunity to lead.
  18. per: I'm sure he's confused that with "gravity" ..and kinetic energy, hang on, I'll get me book of quantum mechanics out! Sorry mate, but that book ain't gunna help you. Quantum mechanics is about atomic particles and how they bump into eachother. Sorry....i hadnt bigged myself up latley.
  19. Sorry to hijack, but does this mean if you gain a new permission that has been cleared you can shoot there with out calling the police out to check it???
  20. well, the horizon is what 3miles for a 6ft man. so a rabbit standing up is what 1ft high so, 3miles devied by 6 = 1/2 a mile. and thats presuming that the barrel is on the floor. so, yeah, quite a shot. lol, i think your right, gravity, that new fangle thing.
  21. So, i guess some of the air rifle lads would know about that.
  22. Not sure if this should go in the general talk bit, but feel free to move it if it is. I was in the gunshop this morning and couldnt help but over hear one fellas' claim about his .17hrm. Now, i know the .17hmr is a flat lil round but this was bit extortionate claim, he claimed that the .17hmr is soo flat that when taking a "long shot" he has to adjust for ...wait for it.....THE CURVATURE OF THE EARTH, and he has to aim below where he want to hit. I mean im no expert of the .17hmr, not really a fan (i know, sacralidge) but this seems quite far fetched. some people make you laugh.
  23. Why would being able to see the pegs be helpful, surely if they are attatched to a net should be easy enought to find?
