  1. It's got to be gas for convinience but you can't beat that solid fuel taste Hi Andy. A true outdoorsman you are, and to recognise the bennifits of both fuel sources is brilliant. Ill go with taste over convenience every time, a small luxury in an outdoor enviourment is so appreciated. ATB. Bill. Something I love doing is cooking over a proper open fire. I've only managed it once this year when me and my mate Paul camped over on Pianomans permission. It took me back to being a lad, camping and cooking with my Dad when we'd been out shooting and snaring.

  3. They've got compressed gas in them and Co2's fair game on here, so live and let live....
  4. Why ask for advice then ignore it?? And you're well out of order with regards to your remark about Mark.
  5. Wouldn't be complete without a bit of vintage Ritchie
  6. That's some pretty impressive consistancy there, Bill He really knows his stuff does John.
  7. I would be interested in a straight sale but if that's a no go, then fair enough. Just out of interest, how does everyone know you here? All your posts seem to be in the sales sections.
  8. Joe Satriani's a class act. A bit of a fret wanker but very skilled same as Steve Via.
  9. You've got a face like a bulldog licking piss off a nettle. Edit to add.... Or bleach off a nettle, if it's polite company
  10. They say aversion therapy works for some but not for me. I became a blood doner years back to try to get over it but each time I fainted. I've also got a bit of an irrational fear of horses so I took riding lessons with an old girlfriend who was into all that, so now I can ride, I'm just terrified of what I'm sitting on!!
  11. If your brain was made from dynamite there wouldn't be enough to blow your nose.
  12. You're better off keeping quiet and letting folks think you may be thick 'cos when you speak, you remove any doubt.
  13. Glad I'm not the only one with a needle phobia. I was fine when I was a kid and I've no idea why but they properly freak me out. It's panic attack then I'll faint. Litterally
  14. I haven,t seen any smoke in the barrel, tbh i,m gutted there is something wrong with it ,i thought its just the way they shot with quite a heavy recoil, i was trying to sell it aswell is it worth getting tuned up and keeping and if so what sort of money do you think it would cost..Thanks Brian They're normally one of the nicest springers to shoot with, Brian, and my best guess would be that someone's fitted a daft OX mainspring at some point, they nearly always spoil whatever they're fitted to. As for cost, a proper HW service kit will set you back about £35 but check that, it's a
  15. Meet me round the back at closing time, Gem. I'll bring the shotgun

  18. I hope not, I'm looking forward to my supper!!
  19. Looks like there may be a fight outside the chippy tonight!!
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXop3q2BcqU Check this lass out, I saw her play live last weekend. Incredible tallent!!
  21. That's about right with the velocity, that's a shade over 20ft-lbs. If you want a springer on ticket the best one to get is the diana 48 or 52, or the 54 if you can find one. They're a country mile better than any of the others. I had a 52 .22 on ticket years back that gave 32 using Crosman Premiers and the recoil was less than most sub 12 guns. Cracking rifles
  22. What Simon's said!! Have a shot with it and see if there's any smoke in the barrel afterwards. If there is then the only reliable fix is to strip it down and de-grease the cylinder. Don't be tempted to spray solvent into the cylinder through the transfer port, that could end very badly the next time it's fired They're a doddle to work on, if you need any help just ask on here or send me a PM.
  23. That's the most honest thing I've ever read on here, fair play to you, mate.
  24. Very good write up mate i,ve bought an older 77 and just can,t get on with it,kicks like a donkey,i have a few differnt guns, spring, gasram and precharged, the 77 stays in the cupboard. Hi, Torchey. Something's not right with your 77 if it's like that, mate. There's three things that are the most likely cause..... 1, it's been over-sprung, they really don't respond well to that, it ruins them. 2, the breach seals gone so it's loseing compression and causing the piston to slam into the end of the cylinder. 3, the piston seal's gone tits up causing the same problem as a failed breach
