  1. Excited in a way only a good supply of Kleanex can sort out!
  2. I know I'm an old fart but being disrespectful seems to be cool with some of the younger folks. A sorry would seem to be the right thing to do, Aaron....... Cheers.
  3. uuh....the names Aaron. Don't be pedantic, Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaron. Buster's trying to help you. Cheers.
  4. It is better to have loved and lost, than to never have watched lost in space at all......
  5. I hurt myself today, to see if I still feel. I focus on the pain, the only thing that's real. The needle tears a hole, the old familiar sting. Try to kill it all away, but I remember everything..... What have I become? My sweetest friend. Everyone I know goes away in the end. And you can have it all, my empire of sh*t. I will let you down, I will make you hurt.... I wear this crown of sh*t, upon my lier's chair. Full of broken thoughts, I cannot repair. Beneath the stains of time, the feelings disapear. You are someone else, I am still right here What have I become? My sweetest
  6. You can't polish a turd. If you're looking for sympathy, you'll find it in a dictionary between sh*t and syphallis. Relationship's the worst ship you can sail on. Never buy anything that eats (as my old Dad says). I'm not in love but I'm going to f**k you 'til someone better comes along. Cheers.
  7. I had one many moons ago and it was a lovely rifle to shoot. That and the Original 45 were by far the best springers of their day, but most folks seemed to go for the HW35 which was (still is) very well made but a real plank of a thing to shoot and lug about. Cheers. PS. The 127 was the .22 and the 124 was the .177.
  8. Thank you all for your advice, where would i go to get a gas ram fitted and about how much are we talking would it reduce power Thanks Donnyc will be your man for the Gas Ram, he is on THL & you will not find it cheaper. The Gas Ram will improve the rifle in many ways, it will be a lot quieter with a smoother action, half the recoil of the springer & a cleaner trigger pull, if you do go the Gas Ram route it would be worth while fitting a sound moderator. Atb, foxon Yup! Donny's a straight bloke to deal with. I've had three kits from him and no problems. Cheers
  9. That's great!! Be interesting to see how well it holds it's edge, as all the heat of cutting and grinding's not good for even high carbon steel, even though you re-hardened it 'cos that really only works on the surface of the steel. Let us know how it goes on, Michael. Nice work! Cheers.
  10. i think i amgetting standard lightning gas ram fitted . are you sure? i thought the only difference betwen the xl and standard was the fancy chequerd stock. the internals are the same a mate of mine has a xl in his gun & it fires at 8lb. the reson i was giving by donny c on here was that its xl ram in a standard lighting becouse there isnt as much psi in the xl ram pm him he will know more than me mate. The Gas Ram is the power plant what ever gun you fit it in, it is up to you to fill the Gas Ram via the HE pump to get the correct power output, if you overfill you will not be abl
  11. Hi, mate. The Xocet's a really nice basic springer. As Foxon's said, the mechanical noise on them can be quite bad (not as bad as a Lightning though), I fitted a gas-ram to mine and it's made a hell of a change to the gun! Much quieter, no more rattles and twangs and no need to worry about leaving it cocked for too long. Have a look at the JSR range of scopes as well. Top value and a good firm to deal with. Cheers.
  12. Yup. you do!! Cheers. PS. My family hails from Cork.....
  13. I think airguns are splendid! And weddings aren't so hot.... There you go, airguns and back on topic! Cheers.
  14. No, not me anyway. It's just that this thread's come up at a bit of a turning point in my life, so I've maybe bitten a little harder than I normaly would've. Anyway, tired now. Off to bed and I wish you all well.... 'Till next time. Cheers.
  15. In spite of what I've said bofore, that's a little harsh and rather too general. Yup, we're all rubbish but then so are you... That's what makes us the folks we are. Venus and Mars, and all that over simplistic crap! Any old way, if we can't be who we are, then who the hell are we?? I don't want or need anyone to tell me that and nore should anyone else. Cheers. PS. I think I'm not the only one on this thread who's maybe had a jar or two?? And maybe's carrying a little too much baggage around??......
  16. A very objective and interesing point. And one worth an answer. Cheers.
  17. I'd sing it very badly, but I can light my own farts and I'm very sure that would have far more entertainment value... Folks are folks. No matter of what sex we happen to be. Some will be ok, and some won't...... Wish I could sing and not have to rely on pyrotechnic flatulance for a party piece! Hey ho.... Cheers.

  21. That's a big part of the problems in the UK, Michael. No matter how much the plebs screw up, they know that there will always be some kind of mechanism in place to pick up all the bits of their crap and sort it out for them. I'm not saying that we should go back to some kind of Dickenzian state but the whole culture of 'f**k it, I'll be fine whatever' is now too deeply ingrained into what's left of the UK's culture. Maybe I should get married, settle down, have a mortgage, etc...... Maybe not. Cheers.
  22. Yes, I can see that. I only speak English and Bad language. I can muddle my way through French a little. It'd be good to live in a place where the folks know where they're at and have some kind of culture and an understanding of what they're about. Englands so lost it's way, married or not (not to go off toppic!). I guess it's a global thing that's going on all over right now. I s'pose I maybe old school but I'm fed up with not feeling safe for me and my boys future any more. Cheers.
  23. At least you're better adjusted to it than I seem to be. I work for myself and my work can be taken anywhere. The only things that keep me in the UK are my two boys (7 and 10). When my ex told me she was pregnant (after the second f***ing date!!!!), me and a friend were in the prosses of selling up to go to Vietnam to start a jet-ski hire place on the coast. So much for makeing plans! The bubble's burst on that one now but as soon as they're old enough and sorted, I'm off. Don't know where yet but I've had enough of watching my country turn to s**t. Mexico? Hmmmm...... Not tho
  24. I'm happy with what I've got but I really fancy the Parker Hale 2000 that was posted on here the other day (Gary??). I'd love an old MK3 Webley and a Mk1 Airspoter. Maybe a Diana Mod 50 too..... Cheers.
