  1. There's a very small chance I may get the hang of this....
  2. I am sat with my mate Simon, who is holding my hand and showing me how to post pics. Another pic
  3. Welcome the the dark side, Si.....
  4. I agree, they do have a place. Years back I tried to get a large wood passed for RF that had a foot path running along the top edge. The FAO wouldn't have any of it but passed it for an FAC airgun. One RWS52 later and all was OK. Horse's for course's and all that... Still didn't gain much though for all the extra grief. Cheers. Edit... As Deker's said, selling them on can be a pain. I got mine new, had it tuned to 32ft-lbs then could only sell it back to my gun shop for a fraction of what I'd paid for it........
  5. Nice one, Tris, that's a really kind thing to say. There's some good folks on here as you say. I've been shooting for over thirty years and there's still many new hints and tricks I learn from the lads who post on here. I'm no expert but I try to help when I can. One of these days I'll get round to doing some proper reports of my own but I'm shy... Cheers.
  6. Hi, Alastair. I've not had anything to do with the SMK's but from what I've read on here and other places it seems if you get a good one, they're OK but the quality's maybe a bit random. I've used a King Ratty for a couple of years now and I really rate it for what it is. Small, accurate and so far no problems. Co2 does have it's limitations that have been covered many time before but so long as you stay within those limits, they're fine. Cheers.
  7. Nice one, Si!! Good read and vid. Cheers.
  8. Hi, mate. Yes you can and if you're only shooting off the bipod it'll be fine but as soon as you're shooting in any other way, your shots will hit somewhere else. Funny things, springers... If they can't recoil in the same way from shot to shot, you're pi**ing into the wind. Best to rest it on something soft so as it can do it's own thing in it's own way, a small cusion maybe, or even your gun bag. Cheers.
  9. Tony, calm yourself down young-fella-me-lad before you have a trouser accident!!! Nearly there....
  10. Hi, mate. Unless you've got a problem getting the land passed for rimfire, I wouldn't bother. You don't gain that much extra range by going over the limit and a rimmy's a hell of a lot more versatile than an airgun. Cheers.
  11. Hi, mate. Out of the two I go for the 200, really nice smooth springer, they're a pleasure to shoot. The Fenman's a very good gun too but they kick like no other airgun I've ever used, a proper scope wrecker... If you like the idea of a gas-ram, have a look at the HW90. Top class build and trigger, low recoil and as accurate as any other springer you'll find. Good luck, fella. Cheers.
  12. have u any more rights on this site than anybody else No, mate, I don't. Just seems that of late there's been a few posts by some folks who just seem to want to provoke a certain type of reaction. Always along the same lines and always negative... I guess I'm just paranoid.
  13. Hee Heee..... Bwahaaaaaaaaaaa.......... No. it's all cool, really........ Teee Hheeee......
  14. No one has a 100% clean kill rate. Sometimes we all have to follow up, so to speak.... All we can do is practice and hope to do the best we can.
  15. I see the first few posts on this subject are mainly by folks who've not really had much to do with this site...
  16. If I'm lamping I'll wear whatever suits the weather. Just flat shades, can't see the point of cammo at night..
  17. Hi, Chris. Zini's vids are a top class bit of info and as the lads have said, a bit of recon and being able to break up your outlines will go a long way. The HW30's not really ment to be a hunter, it's a lovely little gun but only mid power, 8 or 9ish ft-lbs. That said, if you're close and accurate and the gun's shooting well, he should be able to kill a pigeon cleanly with a head shot. Good luck, fellas and let us know how you get on.... Cheers.
  18. It's all turning a bit 'Broke Back' again..... Does this mean I'm going to end up with cocking injuries like I did last year!!!??? Edit... Is Scuba going???
  19. Hi, Sweeney. I've a mate who works in a gun shop, I'll give him a call tommorow. I'll let you know. Cheers.
  20. Hi, mate. They're a decent enough springer and very well priced. Built by Hatsan in Turkey who also make Webley springers these days 'cos we clearly don't have the ability to make them in the UK anymore... Webley do a slip-on mod that works well enough that'll fit the EB. Cheers.
  21. Nice one, fellas, great post from the pair of you. Be good to catch up at the weekend, all being well.... Cheers. PS. Davy?? Can you PM me the address, please??
  22. Good. People like him lost the right to freedom. His victims and their familys will never be free of what he did......
