  1. Hi, mate. It's the distance between the centre of the scope (line of sight) and the centre of the barrel. Tape measure, ruler, whatever. So long as you're within about a quater of an inch, you'll be fine for chairgun. It's a very good program but it's only a guide. Cheers.
  2. Nice one, CS, have a point for a good link to help the bloke out. How come though, after all the time you've been posting you've still Got no Clue as To the correct Use of capital Letter's? cHEERS. EdiT... onLy kiDdiNg......

  5. Have you tried Baracudas in .177 or H and N FTT's in either?? Just asking 'cos I've found them to work very well through many sorts of guns. Cheers.

  7. Steel wool for rodent holes, they can't stand it.
  8. Hi Andy. Yes mate, makes me drool it does I think with a purchase like that, you would HAVE to try it out first, be daft not to. Dont sell the GAT mate......dont do it ATB. Bill. You're right, Bill, I must keep a lid on my lust!! I can't see that out shooting my Gat if I've got yellow darts.... Cheers!!
  9. Hey, lads. You may not get too many replys to this as an air pistol's not really the best tool for hunting. Not enough power and hard to shoot accurately. Since 'Timelord' and his fantastic Benjamin's been abcent for a while, the pistol/hunting front's gone a bit cold...... Not the best tool unless you're VERY close, VERY accurate and know exactly where to hit what you're shooting at. Cheers. Edit... Best not done really. They're OK for killing pests in traps but not much else.
  10. I've always washed my shooting kit on it's own with no powder or anything, just warm water. I think that what I'm shooting at won't be too put off by the odd stubborn stain. Unlike women.... Wierd... Cheers.
  11. Hi, mate. Hunter's spot on, unless you're shooting from the 'pod all the time, your shots will fall elsewhere when you're not useing it. Best to rest a springer on something soft, cusion, gun bag, rolled up jacket, whatever so as it can recoil in it's own way. Cheers.
  12. Cheeky!!! They'll be more up soon, my mate's been busy and I can't work it out.... Cheers.
  13. That's a proper quality looking bit of kit there, Bill... May have to sell my Gat Gun first though. Cheers.
  14. Amazing what folks can find in ship's locker's......
  15. Feck me, mate, just what I didn't need to see at bed time......
  16. Hi, mate. Out of what you've said, I'd go for the TX or the 97. Very little to split them both first class, if rather on the weighty side.. The Pro Sport's a class act too. You're right about the 98, it's not much more than a 95 in a party frock, pretty much all the mechanics are the same. Take a look at the HW90 too. Very under-rated. Cheers.
  17. Nice one, Ron!! Proper result for you, I'm sure you'll enjoy that. Cheers.
  18. Sheridan rifles go back a long way around 1960 I think. They were brought out by Benjamin in 1977 and then Crossman Have a quick look at this link. http://www.ehow.co.u...air-rifles.html I think the 'Streaks' are still available in the USA! Interesting link that, cheers.
  19. Nice one, Stealthy, great post as always. I still prefer my small ones though..... Cheers, fella!!
  20. Those were a couple of random pics I'd taken this year, the first was quite recently with my good old 90 with the JSR 2-7x32 that it's been wearing since the Walther that's in the second pic fecked up. I've been trying to post some more but this site keeps telling me the file's are too large so I'll have to get Simon to hold my hand again tommorow and show me how to sort it. I'll get there in the end...... Maybe a pic of us holding hands just for Tris!! Cheers.
  21. I'd not heard that before.... When did the Sheridan's first come out? The BS 12ft-lb's was decided/plucked from thin air.... in 1969. I am a big fan of .20 though, I've been mainly useing it for the past couple of years now and I'm well pleased. I don't shoot much past 40 yards or so and find that what I hit tend's to stay hit rather more than .177 or .22. Even at 40 or so yards body shots on pigeons and corvids drops them very well and nearly always the pellets pass through. I use either H and N Baracuds or Dynamic SPC5's through my HW90 and have found them to be the best pell
  22. Odd one that, RB. Sounds like you've been unlucky and got a duff mount 'cos normaly a one peice mount clamps really well. Not such an issue on a pre-charge but can be useful on a springer... Cheers.
  23. Have you two bugger's been makeing bets as to weather I'd ever get round to doing it??!!! I seem to have screwed it up a bit now but I'll get the hang of it.....
  24. Really sorry to hear your bad news, Tony, that's awful. My thoughts are with you, fella. Cheers.
