  1. Exactly Heritage you hit the nail on the head a ghost snare is basically an all in one snare made with a 3mm hytensile wire tealer with the snare wire attached , The wire tealer and snare loop were hard to see hence the name ghost tealer .. Different hights and different loop sizes are irrelevant they can be made to fit any situation the actuall set up is called a ghost snare .once an idea has been shown its easy to come along and to improve but thinking of the original concept and making it work that's the hard part .....
  2. THE 110S ARE DEADLY ON SMALL VERMIN AS ARE THE 55 S YOU SPEND MONEY ON THE ORIGINAL OUT LAY AND YOU CAN USE THE 11OS FOR GREYS AS WELL AS MINK A RAT TRAP WONT ALLOW YOU THAT OPTION ALWAYS HANDY TO HAVE A FEW TO SET YOU WONT GO WRONG WITH THE BODY GRIPS
  3. a no from me a predator with exceptional climbing skills and a tuned in nose and no restrictions on its management another cock up waiting to happen leave well alone in my opinion

  9. well its that time of year again keepers have time on their hand s and the snares are being set down on their grounds for the foxes and a busy time for me
  10. funny that so just for the sake of debate are those jaws in the over hang of the tunnel because if they are in the gap between the two ends they aint techinically speaking now this is where common sense prevails where as a trap placed in the overhang of a rabbit hole well say no more lol

  13. , I don't tend to get involved to much in arguments or word games. I have had quite a lot of rats.(1000s) in the rural area on chocolate both in cages and in baited fen or body grip sets each to their own. I suppose at the end of the day the individual makes his own choice agreed ,you say a chocy bait is alien to ratty , well how would he go about finding lard in the country .... would he find it in some ones chip pan :hmm: lol, as long as the end result is a dead rat who cares there are, and always will be different opinions but to say I know best and nothing else is effective is a b

  18. The bailer twine is perfect for the twine on your peg snares a 7inch peg will hold in all but the softest ground make your peg length in accordance to your ground conditions in really soft ground a hoop snare would be the best option. Snare length off 22.5 ins is typical but I take a lot of hares so all my peg wires are made from 24in long six strand spun brass wire attached to 10.5 ins wire tealers . This gives me the option of setting straight over a run on higher vegetation eliminating the need to cock the snare up to result in a catch your normal setting hight can be from the six i
