  1. You beat me to it brindle! 5yrs to late. should still be a good un, but these two in their prime would have been a belter. And tho all boxing sense and savvy would point at maywether being victorious, i always felt manny had a little something special that would have upset that notion... Yokel
  2. To me, it is the schooling and rolling/testing of young stock that shows you what they are made of. Are they worth breeding from/matching etc. You should know all about you prospect by the time matches are made. Matching is gambling pure and simple, prooving your dog is better than his opponent...j.m.o... Yokel.
  3. Personally ive always been of the opinion that gameness is like the water level in a jar.....some so high it spills over the edge, some so low you barely see it......the majority of bulldogs fall somewhere in between I look at gameness as a trait rather than a gene....if it was a gene all dogs of every breed would have it to a degree, and they simply dont......the nature versus nurture debate has gone on for years and in my opinion you cant put in what nature left out be that making a game dog quit or a cur dog game its in the blood as they say.....Genetically there is absolutely no re
  4. I think chasing hard mouthed killers could be what led to the demise of some of those tighter bred family dog's that have been mentioned earlier in this thread... Yokel.
  5. just had farquar on there, an absolute c**t! i remember when the bill was looming, he (farquar) openly stated, he would be happy to sacrifice the more un savoury hunting like coursing and digging if it meant they could still hunt foxs on horse back!!!! Yokel
  6. Can't take credit for it, it came from an old aquaintence of mine.he wrote it years back, always stuck in my head for some reason, it's a bit poncey really, and i'm with you gamerooster, makes me chuckle... Yokel.
  7. anyone on here have a few boxes of frozen chicks delivered from these on thursday...kent? yokel
  8. as i walked thru meadows green i noticed in a tree, a boy was swinging from a branch and smiling down at me. the love i felt that summers day filled me full of joy, and looking up towards the tree i smiled back at the boy. the earth, the sun, the sky, the clouds, the creatures of this place. the western wind, cool and gentle, blowing on my face. Again i looked up to the boy, smiling in the tree, and at the rope around his neck that had set him free....
  9. Banging out a tune on a banjo with a clawhammer whilst chomping on magic mushrooms...you neighbours must love you!haha ya cheeky wretch, lol. I never mix it up...:-P Yokel.
  10. Play irish tenor banjo, mandolin, tin whistle, bodrahn, can knock abit of clawhammer out on a 5 string also. Used to be in a band, but now happy making a racket in the front room...;-) Yokel
  11. seen them on auction sites guide priced between £50 to £, then seen private sellers and dealers ask up to £300/£350! so maybe somewhere in between??? Be like most things in the end, it'll be worth as much as someone wants to pay for it...good luck with it... Yokel
  12. The most important difference here is it is a GAMEBRED dog that happens to be blue in colour. Not a dog bred to be blue... Yokel (but what the f**k is going on in your avatar??!!! ) HAHA! Don't ask lol... Yokel
  13. try plonking the likes of zebo or chinaman etc in a pram and pushing it home. There's alot of rose tinted glasses anecdotes about the game bulldog being an absolute gent with humans, and whilst there are individuals that fit this profile, it is far from set in stone... Yokel.

  16. a game bred bulldog fights with his own free will, and to label the men who created and worked these dogs in the same bracket as peadophiles shows a level of ignorance i've yet to see on the hunting life forum, and that really is saying something!... Yokel
  17. Like it or not, the A.P.B.T. owes it's very existence to the pit, it was bred first and foremost as a combat dog, and true representatives of the breed should be able to perform accordingly, much like true reps of a lurcher/running dog should be capable of taking hare/rabbit etc, or terriers ground dwelling critters etc...The a.p.b.t's in that video (if you can call them such) are certainly NOT true representatives of the breed... Yokel
  18. And that is the most dangerous thing about silly videos like this, daft c**ts will watch that ONE example and think it the norm, rush of to the local dog pound and get some savage mutt in total belief that it's all down to how you treat/handle them....tick tock...BOOM! Yokel
  19. you'd have thought she'd have bought them some food bowls! Yokel.
