It's beyond crazy. However, until the processing power is there it will never be self aware as an independent intelligence, only to be used and abused by us. The minute AI moves from silicone chips to carbon nano or other, we're fuucked.

And to be clear it seems not many on here know sweet FA about AI. I can create a script that trawls the internet and gives me a list of companies, estimated annual revenue etc and then I call the cnuts. AI will literally dive in to everything and tell me the birthday of the boss's kids. That's how scary this can be. It will find everything about you and link it all together and who does it deliver all that data to? Whoever controls the AI.

I have a company that partners with an outfit in Bulgaria who make these AI videos for websites, like adverts sort of thing for products. What can be done is very concerning.
