Hi lads, In this episode of VHTV you will see me testing 2 of my new spring piston rifles that I am trying to bed in ready for doing some calibration work, hunting and HFT comp shooting. The test is just to see how they group and perform prior to being fully run in. Thanks for watching Si & Davy -
Heres a group shot on camera today with RWS Super Fields 4.52 mm Its not even bedded in yet too . Role on the Southern Hunters next year where ill be using this in the HFT comps. Si.

Here you go Mauders mate. Here is the photo you have been asking me for. The mounts arrived this morning so I've just fitted the Hawke Sidewinder Tac 30 scope, adjusted the trigger on the rifle to my own liking and done some pellet testing. RWS Super Field at 4.52 mm 1 hole at 27 yards with pretty much ease. Going to put a few hundred through its barrel later and then chrono her. Si.

I use x 8 or 10 in the day (rifle depending) and between 3 and 6 at night quarry depending. Rats = x 3 or 4 Rabbits = x 6

Hi Chris, I tried FX, H and N and some RWS SF in my new HW100KT. The FX and H and N were ok at 25 meters but the RWS were terrible. At 50 meters though all were bad at about 1.5 inches and upwards. I then tried Webley Accupells and they off a proper rifle rest yesterday were doing 1 pellet hole size 3 shots at 25 meters and 3 pellets under a 1 penny at 50 meters. I then tried them in my new Spectre springer and they 1 holed at 25 meters and were better than the H and N I was using with it. Si.

Thats what ill try in mine then first Phil. I haven't even put a scope on mine yet mate. Been too busy with the Ultra for the channel to use the Pro Sport yet, plus I forgot to get a set of 30mm mounts for it so am just waiting on delivery now. Ill let you know how I get on with it mate very soon. Si.

H & N FTT in my Spectre, FX 16 grain in the HW100KT and Exacts at 4.53mm in the Ultra SE.

Hi Simon, Thanks for the comments mate. Yes we will do a full review of the rifles once we get them run in and calibrated. Tony said 150 to 200 pellets to sort these out but i think ill pop 500 through mine and then adjust the power if need be to about 11 FP before calibrating it with the new SR Pro. Davy chronoed his last night over 60 ish shots and noted every shot as he took it and it was amazing to see how the rifle started in the low 11's and very slowly climbed up as more shots were fired and its internals started to bed in just as Tony said it would when we were testing

Hi Wood, It doesn't effect the rifle at all in fact when I shoulder it it sits on the aim lovely. When Davy tried his he said the same thing. Missing 25 yard standing HFT shots is now only our own faults. Si.

Thanks Elliott. Yes the rifle and scope was a present from me and LJ to Davy for being a great friend to us both over the past 3 years and being there for us first along with my mum and step dad when we fell on hard times when i was going through my divorce. Without even being asked Davy offered help, friendship and sometimes money ( now fully paid back) out of the goodness of his own heart. How many would do that? Probably not many. Davy is a great, true and genuine friend to us both and LJ loves him like a big brother. He also will be my best man at our wedding in May Si.

Hi Andy, As Mauders says it started life as a HW95K, but the only thing not changed on it or tuned is the silencer. Trigger stripped down and rebuilt after polishing and tuning. Barrel is chemical treated. Action fully tuned. Stock changed. SFS's own spring. SFS custom made full internals, guides and top hat. Piston polished and sized to the action inners and some other stuff i dont really understand. Si.
