Look what Laura - Jayne has just bought for me this morning as a early wedding gift . I'm well happy with this little gem and it replaces the one I had stolen many years ago . I think its a hell of a lot of rifle for the price and its condition. What do you think Simon? I bet its just your cup of tea isn't it mate? I'm going to use it as my .177 roaming / mooching rifle and general plinker, which will keep the AA Pro Sport in pristine condition for HFT. http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Weihrauch_Air-Rifle_HW-35_For-Sale_130212180334417 Si.

I've tried quite a few Gamo rifles in the past and I can honestly say every one of them were sub, sub, sub any Weihrauch from the world famous HW77 right down to the 99 which in its own right is still a very capable full power springer . Si.

Bsa Ultra Swap For Rws Excalibre ?
zini replied to Jonezy's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I wouldn't swap a Tench regged Ultra mate, not now anyway. I did once and swapped one for a HW100T and really regretted it . The HW100 T accurate as it was was not any improvement on the regged Ultra and it was also too long for my liking. I now have a HW100KT which suites me much better. A Ultra takes some beating mate and if its regged you get ample shots for either HFT or hunting. Please let us know how you get on mate. Si. -
Great shot Stuart mate. The squizzer didn't really stand any chance with a shot like that.

As you say mate its a total art and pain in the butt to range find at night with NV equipment. I miss more than normal at night. What I try to do is spot on a low setting and then go to the same mag to take the shot every time. This way after a bit of practice you get the idea of the size of the bunnys head against my mildots.
-
Yeah I know what you mean Ste. Once you find that magic calibre its hard to change and use another one unless there is a real need. My .177's are only really used for rabbits at night or target shooting now unless I'm doing a review and needs some daytime kills etc, and the .22 is used all other times. I find the stopping power of a .22 more useful to me than the speed, flatter trajectory and better penetration of the .177, but thats just my own personal preference and i acknowledge that both calibers do the job humanely and easy enough.

Wow nice rifle mate . That should keep you happy for a while hey? What was wrong with your other Daystate mate? Si.

Between 15 and 30 pellet and lead properties depending mate. I normally put about 20 through my barrels. Si.

Chairgun Pro - Zeroing
zini replied to Mister Gain's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Yes you are correct mate. You will have 2 zeros with your rifle. A established main zero (far) at say 30 yards (better at 27 ish yards in .22 at around 11.5 FPE) and a first intersect zero (near) at around 11 yards. You can zero your rifle at your near zero but your scope needs to be really set up well and the action level as it can be with your cross hairs or once you shoot out to 30 yards the pellet will fall left and right of your vertical post. A good way to sort this out in the field is to shoot at a distant target (40 yards plus) and slightly adjust your windage turrets s -
Nice shooting Stuart with a very nice rifle. Si.

Very nice mate . What pellets are you going to try in it first? I found AA Field at 4.52 mm to be good in the one i reviewed from around a 180 bar fill. Si.

Laser range finder, permission papers if you have any, mobile phone if out at night or on a rural location in the day.

A nice and clear bit of quality shooting and footage there Ste . The shot on the woody in the tree with just its head showing was a cracker mate . You seem to prefer the .22 Panther more than your .177 Air Wolf Ste, is there any reason why mate or is it just personal preference like .22 is for me mate? Si.

Lovely shooting mate. Straight in the KZ . Cant beat a bit of ratting.
-
Isnt it funny how barrel differ mate? The SR Pro is a very user friendly reticule mate that enables extreme accurate shots with ease. I find the scope very nice and clear, its the usual top end quality of a Hawke. Si.

New Edition To The Air Ranger
zini replied to M47KS_M4N_CH71S's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Nice Chris, I swear by the Hawke Sidewinders and even prefer them over the MTC range. The 4.5 - 14 x 44 mm Tac 30 IR SF is a really great optic with the half mildot reticule. Si. -

Yes it would be a good little rifle to add to your collection mate. A well shot Ultra with the right pellet, filled to the right bar charge will keep up with a HW100 for accuracy mate I'm sure of it. Si. -

But I see it Steve as i wouldn't be able to do that if Tony would not have done such a great job on the Spectre mate. All my praise goes to him. At the end of the day the rifle is still running in and as Tony as just texted me and said, it will get even better than that as it smooths out even more . Thanks for the comment though mate. Si. -

I haven't tried the AA Pro Sport at range yet VM as I only fitted the scope today when the postman brought me the mounts. I was lucky to try the RWS SF pellets first in it too this morning, but it seems to love them already. The Spectre I have tested at 50 meters in my indoor permission range, and it placed 3 Accupells almost on top of each other. Im sure when its properly run in and i shoot it well it will group under a 5p at 50 meters like my 97KT can. Si.
