Hi lads, Over the past week or so I have been chatting over the internet to a man that goes by the alias of Hunter100t. I believe that he is also a member of THLF. Well it tuned out that he lived not to far from me (around 6 miles in fact) so I invited him over to mine for a 3 hour shoot on one of mine and Davys permissions. Right on time a young looking 50 ish something year old man (ex soldier) turned up at my house and we had a brew and a chat before heading off to the permission in search of woodies. Hunter100t (real name Phil) brought along his trusty HW100T in .177 and I

Yeah thanks. The reason I didnt say anything is that I thought this thread was dead and long gone Simon until it popped back up again. Im totally cool about it mate. Ive plenty of other places to shoot abit further away. The lady deserves her wishes respected. Si.

Lovely rifles there. I like the one with the sling on it.

Its a bit more complicated that that im afraid. The lady who claims chair lady of the allotment committee is not liked by many in the village so I have learned. The main problem is about 6 months ago she lost her son who was in the Grenadirs out In Afghanistan. He was killed by enemy action. Due to this fact no one likes to upset her and I agree they shouldn't. Me being a military man myself has full respect for fallen comrades and their families. This is why I didnt push to try and over turn her eishes and upset her. Si.

It held and they didnt want my services any more. Si.

Best Ft Lbs For A Target Rifle
zini replied to Darrenm's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Different barrels have different lans and grooves depth and width. Different pellet brands are made from different lead types, ie some soft and some harder. This said the difference between 4.52 and 4.53 can make a huge difference at range on a target card. Its a combination of how the pellets lead interacts in a non chemical way to the width and depth of the barrel as the rifle is shot. I have noticed that the BSA barrels ive owned in the past r10's and Ultras like 4.53 and 5.53mm pellets, caliber depending. My old hw100 s though worked better with 4.51 mm pellets so sma -

Brand New To Hunting, Bought My First Air Rifle Today.
zini replied to Aaron Swanson's topic in Airgun Hunting
HI Aaron, Unless SMK have changed the style of the B2 which used to be a break barrel and not a under lever that rifle isn't a B2 and is a DB4 or 5 which was the same as the older SMK Custom Lion that I used in Bosnia in 1997. What is written on the action of the rifle mate? Si. -
Quality lads. I wish you all the best. What I said by text I mean buddy. Once you have got 3 or 4 clips up Ill do it. Si.

Brand New To Hunting, Bought My First Air Rifle Today.
zini replied to Aaron Swanson's topic in Airgun Hunting
Hi Aaron, Welcome to the forum mate . I'm going to be honest with you mate though and please don't take this the wrong way as its just me being truthful . The scope you have is probably not going to stay zeroed for long once you do a long period of practicing with the B2. The mounts that hold these type of small scopes on the action are not very strong and the B2 recoils quite heavily. The B2 itself is a very basic air rifle that is capable of humane killing power to 50 yards max (according to Chairgun Pro software), but gaining the accuracy from it to put your shots within an -
A & M Cylinder For The Hw100
zini replied to Fieldsports's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Well in A and M and Darryl. Si. -
No not for me buddy, but thanks. i just though someone on here would be interested as the CS500 looks a lovely stock. Reminds me of the sporter stock that HW do. Si.

How much Craig?
-
si my last 2 hw100 where both thumb hole stocks, and i liked the balance and feel of them. have you used this type of stock on a 100 before? If so how do you rate them? Also will the action drop straight in or will some alterations need to be done? Cheers Paul k. I pick up ours next month on our other rifles. Yes they fit straight in on a 100 if you tell them that whats its for.

Hi Acuspell, I wasn't having a go at you buddy , and I can see why you are not a fan of the HW100 if you and your mate have had problems with yours in the past . I had a problem with FX Verminator after 3 days of purchase from new in 2009 and never owned one since. I do strongly believe that all TOP rifle brands including Theoben, HW, Air Arms, BSA and Daystate, have their faults, through their life and from new. You just have to Google "Problem with Rapid 7" or with any of the other brands I've just mentioned above mate and watch the pages fill up with posts and people wing

I would think that anyone that states that one is far better than the other is being very blinkered . They both have their pro's and cons and it will only be the individual that can decide which suits him better. Rapid: Pro's Very large shot count. Very accurate to max sub 12 ranges (unless its Daz7 shooting it, then its accurate to 15 yards) . Bullet proof and can be serviced in the field (so I've heard). Great reputation (one of the best in air gunning). Easily customized by people who know what they are doing. Quiet with a quality silencer or very quieter with a Nutsh

Ive shot Busters Rapid MFR and it was very nice and accurate. Ive also shot numerous 100s. Either will serve you well IMO. I honesty dont think you can go wrong with a Rapid or a 100.

If this is the case its best to go on EBay and buy a CS700 thumbhole. They look better than the standard HW one anyway. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CUSTOMSTOCK-CS700-Thumbhole-Walnut-Gun-Stock-Air-Rifle-Stock-Right-hand-/251177117760?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item3a7b52a840 or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CUSTOMSTOCK-CS700-SKELETON-Thumbhole-Walnut-Gun-Stock-Air-Rifle-Stock-R-Hand-/251177117759?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item3a7b52a83f Si.
