No you don't have to have the engraving mate for it to be a Spectre, only if you want it to be a VHTV Spectre. The CS stock being adjustable at the butt pad and thumb hole seems to handle better for me Skot to the standard stock that doesn't have a high enough cheek piece for me to call it luxus like you can the CS700 stock. You can order a left handed version of the stock too Skot.

Honestly Ste I couldn't tell you as i got the rifles and a lot of other kit at a total discount price as i spent almost £6000 in one lump sum with Tony at SFS buddy. I should imagine they are not cheap as you get a lot for your money with them. Best thing to do is phone up SFS and ask yourself mate. If your not too keen on a light rifle then getting the same rifle but based around a HW80K would probably be a much better option mate. If i was going to have Tony make me a custom rifle i would do the following: HW80K fitted with a HW98 barrel CS700 stock with the adjustabl

Thanks Aaron, Yeah Davy's face was a picture wasn't it buddy? I think he was a little shocked to the results of the rifle at a not even bedded in stage. This is the reason we push the SFS tuned stuff so much here and on YouTube mate. Not just because SFS now sponsor VHTV along with Nite Site or because Tony is our friend, but because we want others to see and feel a SFS tuned rifle and see the difference you get from one compared to a OTB model. They are like chalk and cheese as you now know mate after getting your S2 tuned HW97KT. Si.

So true Skot . It also proves that it doesn't matter which caliber you choose to shoot as they are both as accurate as each other. One just takes a little more trajectory / combo knowledge to get the same results as the other one. And yes i can tell you that now the Spectres are bedded in and matched with the right pellet if shot correctly they are as accurate as a pcp. Si.

Hi Dave, Yes Darren Rogers was there from FSB channel. He gave Davy a brand new Nite Master Night Searcher lamp to use and keep which was really kind of him. The newer model from their ir800. He also showed us his new digital NV add on which is awesome. Glad that your getting out a bit after the rats mate. I love a bit of ratting.

Yes i have also heard from Tony that the police use Skans and PM1 chronoes to test with. I believe they are coming around to using the PM 1 a bit more now especially in the West Mids area but Darryl is correct in what he is saying Mike .

Hi there forum friends, Well it’s almost taken 3 months to complete this review but here it is broken down into 2 parts, each around 15 minutes in length. When I and Davy started shooting these VHTV Spectre’s back in the middle of February we knew that they were something very special, so decided right back then not to rush a good thing but to push the rifles to the extreme limit to see what they were cable of. In this 2 part review you will see the Sandwell Field Sports VHTV Spectres in action at the shop, on the indoor range, on the out door range, then finally in the field culli

It finishes in 40 mins then ill turn them both from private mate for in the morning.

Good effort there lads . At least you didnt go home rabbit-less.

Great new Steve . Didn't i just say to you a month or so back that the wait for the tune would be well worth it? Well you now see why mate . The review of the SFS VHTV Spectres is uploading to YouTube as i type. Wait till you see that baby mate. The Spectres shooting out to 66 yards in a breeze and hitting targets just under 3/4 the size of a pop bottle top shot after shot. Really really impressive to say the least the work Tony as done on them.

Thanks yet again gents for the comments. More of this kind will follow soon.

No problems at all Steve. You happy with the results your getting from it Steve? As it beds in it will only improve. I spent the whole day and some of the night yesterday till 2310 hrs with Davy at his club then on his rabbit permission. Davy was using his Spectre and s2 tuned 97kt and putting shot after shot through the same 1 hole with them both. At 66 yards he was hitting a rabbit knock down on a wooden post in the wind pretty easily with the .22 97. His exact words were once I pick up this rifle I just cant put it down. Brilliant rifles. Si.

Great news and fair play.

What a gent Simon . You didn't need to do that but you did which shows the calibre of you as a man and a gent. I will pass on this to Tony as he doesn't go onto this site ever and i know he will be very grateful to you my friend. Your post also shows the calibre of my good friend Tony and the quality of services you get from him and the staff at SFS. All the best Simon to you and Helen. I look forward to seeing you both on Saturday mate. Si.

Yeah sounds good mate. Bring it up at the weekend mate for us to have a look at. You going to the event Fri or Sat mate? If Fri,we are having a meal at around 1900 to 1930hrs which it would be nice if you could make mate with Jacks. We get married at 1300 hrs now on Sat so if Sat can you be there at the event no later than 1230 hrs mate. Cheers Si.

Phil, Ive got all the kit to level your scope properly mate. If you feel like popping around tonight we can do it for you mate. I will explain to you then the effects of rifle cant in diagram format which is easier to understand mate. Si.

Hi Steve, Glad that you finally got time to try out the newly tuned 97. I told you the wait would be worth it buddy. What results you are seeing now are only a fraction of what you will see once 1000 pellets have gone through the barrel mate. They do take a bit of shooting to bed them in but once bedded in they are something special. The barrel and rifle are always accurate but your results will improve due to reduced recoil and a very smooth firing cycle which in turn assists you shooting more accurately. What my suggestion is to you Steve is shoot 1000 to 1500 pellets th

97 for me

Id probably be lookin at a MAX budget of £500 ish. Hi mate, I would say a Weihrauch HW95K in .177 would serve your purpose very well with a Hawke 3 - 9 x 40 scope with mildot reticule. This rifle would handle all the vermin shooting you could throw at it.
