Thanks Archie mate -
If you mean mine VM its spot on and will hit tiny targets at 60 meters pretty much as well as my HW100KT will. Its hard work though and is very hold sensitive so your technique needs to be spot on with it as its light mate. If i was you i would get a HW80 and fit a HW98 barrel VM. That would be the dogs and shoot like a dream Ask John (Wurtz).

Tonight me and Phil (Mawders) met at our air gun club at around 1805 hrs ready for 3 hours of springer shooting and pellet testing. Phil was using his Timmy Tree fettled AA Pro Sport in .177, and i was using my SFS S2 tuned HW97KT also in .177. After the both of us had tried a variety of .177 pellet brands we both settled on AA Fields at 4.52 mm . With both rifles zeroed at 27 yards (25 meters) we set about shooting some groups . We was originally going to shoot 5 shot groups but the rifles were so accurate with the AA Field pellets that 5 shot groups were silly small and les

Brilliant shooting Rob. Theres people who shoot pcps at our club that cant do that size of group mate. Just think how good it will be when it beds in? SFS rocks.
-
Lovely rifle mate and some fine shooting to boot.
-
Yeah agreed mate. Its a true testiment when lads are selling their HW100s and other top pcps to buy a SFS S2 tuned 97 and getting as good as or better results. I know from a bench my 97 and 98 would match my HW100KT on groups any day of the week in good conditions. Cheers for the pm aswell buddy.

Lol your poor choice then O Bi Whan. The force needs to flow better in you if you want to become a true .22 Jedi Knight. I may let you win the next comp as 6 - 1 is getting silly lol.

A game of twister and a hell of a lot of luck Simon. -
This site is just so tight with likes per day lol. Love to Michelle mate from me and LJ. Ive seen you shoot that springer mate at the AA meet on the zero range along with your Gary and you both were doing very well indeed. Infact too well for my liking. I didnt think Gary was going to give me my 98 back lol. Can you pm me his mobile number mate as I want to thank him for the wedding money. Hes the only one I havent thanked as I cant find him on FB or on here.

Aaron we should have a springer comp at the next meet. All the attendees that have a springer using them in 4 or 5 events / different comps same with the pcps to see who is the pcp and springer meet champ. That would be good fun. Could also have people like Davy, Darryl and Timmy if he comes showing others how to strip, polish some parts and re grease different models of springer.
-
Nice one Aaron. I think thats what makes them so rewarding to shoot. You get the tiniest bit slack in your technique and they punish you.
-
Nice one mate. You have made a great choice there with the Pro Sport.
-
Good shot sir. You must be well pleased Mac. Si.

VM in .22 try H and N first but 5.53mm followed by AA Fields AA Fields at 5.52mm. Also Webley Accupells work well in the .22 barrels.

Yes thanks for the invite again Phil. Your permission is a lovely one, and is now full of a good variety of air rifle quarry. Rabbits though very skittish due to the shotgun syndicate that obviously blasts them whenever they see one are all over the permission and I lost count early at around 19 before counting became boring. There must have been many more that we didnt see, pigeons in the high 2 and 3 figure numbers, squirrels and crows. The terrain doesn't really lend itself to airgun hunting due to the steep inclines (really big hills) that means from the way the breeze was blowing we

Well in Aaron. The 97 seems to be doing the business for you buddy. Its shocking how accurate they are after a S2 tune isnt it mate? I bet you're well glad you got it now.
-
Wicked Aaron. You cant grumble at that accuracy mate. I bet your well happy with the 97.

Little Hunter At The Range With The Ultra
zini replied to bigmac 97kt's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Well done all. Nice shooting in the end little hunter. Maybe the ret just stuck a bit and was moving slightly after each hammer movement mate till Darryl knocked it free. I used to have a Hawke Nite Eye that did the same. -

They are really nice rifles Mac. I dont know what they shoot like untuned as ive never tried one, but tuned they are as good as it gets for a springer I reckon. I think a tuned .22 would be silk to shoot. -
I think you and Mr T now owe me a pint Mawders . I cant believe that you have been scheming with Mr T behind my back and urging him to win again . To be fair i only beat him by 1 point i think and he did shoot really well . Si.
-
Snap Rob. I've just put up a thread about this too LOL. Ill let Mr T give you the .22 springer results .

Just a quick post to say it was really nice to meet up with Rob (Porkybella) for the first time today and have a shoot with him, Davy and our other friend Phil. Rob made the journey down to Old Down from Birmingham. We started off by zeroing our rifles off the zeroing benches. Davy his .22 SFS S2 tuned HW97KT, Rob his SFS S1 tuned .177 HW97KT and .177 customized BSA r10 MK2, me with my SFS S2 tuned HW97KT and SFS S1 tuned .177 HW98 and Phil with his AA S400 in .177. After all the rifles had easily knocked over the furthest crow knock down target at around 50 / 55 yards we went
