  1. Better for what mate? You will need to be a little more specific mate. One is a pcp and the other is a spring piston rifle. One requires a air source to charge it and the other doesn't. Both are very good rifles.
  2. I shot Malc Barnards out the box (OTB) TX200HC last week at my club at 31 yards and it managed a 3 shot 1 hole 5 or 6 mm group. Malc shot another 3 or 4 tiny 3 shot clover leaf groups straight after each other with ease. The AA TX200 is defo the better and smoother rifle OTB. Don't get me wrong though mate, the HW95 OTB will still do the business on vermin, it just works 100% better after a proper tune.
  3. I don't like the new CGP as much as the older version VM. I find the format not as good and some of the routines don't seem to run as good as in the older versions.
  4. Hi lads, Here is the review that we at VHTV have done on the SFS S1 tuned HW98. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1kDsuG9uUc .
  5. Cheers Phil, But as I told Davy last night on the phone. You shoot as good as me especially with that Pro Sport mate. Theres no shot I could do that I dont think you couldn't do either after watching you shoot and seeing your technique and results. Hi Skot as Phil said. Them groups are ample to kill vermin humanely mate. With practice and as the VMac kit runs in you will tighten then even more. Si.
  6. Welcome Nath. Hope you enjoy the section. Si.
  7. Its going to be cracking. Lets see if we can get more springers turn up than pcps this time. Come on Skot you can do it. Ill think something new up Davy for a comp.
  8. I know what you mean Elliott mate. My 98 beats my HW100KT hands down. The footage will be edited into the full 98 review mate.
  9. Cheers Elliott. You should of seen what me and Phil filmed tonight for the 98 review with the 98 at 55 yards .
  10. Yeah no worries about your tourettes mate . If you watch you shoot the Pro Sport in the clip you will see that you have real good follow through in your style of shooting hence your great results. Just watch your trigger finger and head movement.
  11. Im up for that mate. Tonight if you can make it. Will film it too for the HW98 review. The footage from last night is also on VHTV now.
  12. For those who are interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56aZYoD4Bbw
  13. This was my 3 shot zero group at 25 meters (27.3 yards) with my HW98. 3 shots with one 5 mm hole. Pretty good accuracy for a springer don't you think? Si.
  14. No its not difficult to do mate. Once someone shows you it's pretty easy to understand. The range is at Glevum in Gloucester.
  15. Hi lads, Me and Phil (Mawders) went up to our local shooting club today (Glevum) to do some calibration work with Phils AA Pro Sport springer and my HW100KT and BSA Ultra SE PCP’s and HW98 springer. After chronoing all our rifles we then zeroed at 25 meters before doing a BC calibration shoot. After that we shot some 46m and 50 meter targets and groups. Here are some of the photos we took. Look at the group Phil shot when zeroing his Pro Sport at 25 meters from AA Fields to RWS Super Fields. The top pellet is his aim point before he adjusted his zero and the other hole belo
  16. Good news and good write up Simon. Well done Andy another great job on Simons rifle. I know what you mean ref the FTT pellet consistency Simon, such a shame as they seemed to by liked by many HW barrels. Are you down at Helens this Sunday coming? I think Old Down is open.
  17. They are clever little buggers aren't they? Do you think Charlie fried or bar be qued his treat and marinated it in succulent strips of bacon and piri piri? How was your toast mate when you got home?
  18. Both are very good rifles mate and will shoot very straight and true if you do your part. I would say the TX200 is the more refined rifle out the box. If you really wanted to up the anti though I would 100% advise on getting a HW98 and getting it SFS stage 1 tuned. My 98 now bedded in is better and I never thought I would say it than my HW97KT. Im actually contemplating selling one of my rifles to fund another .22 HW98 from SFS. Si.
  19. Here is an exact screen print of my HW98 doing 9.3 FPE. If you look at the ballistic data on the left of the picture you will actually see even at 9.3 FPE the rifle is still actually capable (not that i would ever try) of killing a rabbit at 105 yards. Why do you need 11.9 FPE?.
  20. Congratulations Roger mate.
  21. A cracking post mate. What a great outcome too. The HW looks really good now. Si.
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xq1toW6WRaA Enjoy.
  23. Good shooting lads. Them rabbits can really kick themselves down the hole even when they are shot in the KZ cant they? Its best to try and get them a few meters from their burrow, but even sometimes they can still get away. Si.
