  2. If the Dam to my pup is - 1/4 Whippet 1/4 Staff 1/4 Greyhound 1/4 Bull And the Sire is - 1/4 Bull 3/4 Greyhound What does that make the pup? I'm cat at working stuff like this out, but if you're a tad hand at percentages and can work it out I'd appreciate it. Cheers.
  3. plus, there are (not) great at the job they do, seen a few on other sites and the pig hunters said that other breeds were just as good, or even better.? They were Oz+USA hunters, they ABD or pitxs, were just as good. And they have a few health probs (deafness, HD ) . So maybe they only keep the best of the breed in there (own) country, and they were not bred as guard or fighting dog, because they have to work in a pack.? I reckon there better breeds out there than them. I've been told exactly the same thing. The Yanks will spend stupid money on importing dogs, and they have done with th
  4. This is TopNotch when we have a good days digging - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtJRNyPK-lc You don't want to see the video of him when he landed a 17lb Pike .
  5. Sounds like one of them things that would of been all right if you'd of carried on seeing to it the way you were after squeezing the shit out of it. Vet's love taking money for medication that isn't needed. But then I've not had the same problem so maybe I'm wrong?
  6. I mainly feed my dogs on tripe and chicken. I get the tripe from TPMS, and get the chicken from Iceland (which is about £3 a bag). I will give the terriers half a bag of tripe each and a leg of chicken. I add about 2.5ml of cod liver oil to their feed, and will add a bit of either heart (beef or lamb) liver or kidney a few times a week. I may substitute the chicken leg's for any edible meat we might take during the season as well.
  7. Get it on the raw food, Don't worry so much about worming every two weeks, most raw food is frozen and being frozen it will kill off all the parasites. If you want to feed it any rabbits you catch, then make sure you freeze the Rabbit for a few weeks before you feeding it to your dog. I feed my dogs raw (always have done) and worm every 3 months and have never had problems with worms ever.
  8. My bitch was like that, I wormed her without knowing she had already been wormed by the lad I got her off, her shits were just like you said, watery and jelly like. Sounds just like a upset stomach from something to me, just keep and eye on it.
  9. I don't want to worry you but I had a Lakie X Patt that hurt his right hip on a day out ratting. It didn't heal properly and he was constantly holding his leg up, I took him to the vets and they said that it was leg Perthese He had an operation, but he was still holding his leg and lost quite a bit of condition on his leg. He was still keen to get to ground so I took him out and dug to him. He copped a nasty bite on his front right paw that day, and as a result he started using his back leg again to balance himself out so he could walk about Turned out to be a blessing in disguise as he
  10. I don't feed them many scraps at all. They're fed once a day mainly tripe and chicken legs, but they'll get heart, liver or kidney added to their feed a few times in the week as well. I also like to give them a warm bowl of Lactol after I've cleaned them up from a hard day out grafting as well.
  11. I've not got whippets, but when I'm getting the terriers ready for the season, I'll give them their exercise but I'll feed them raw meat/chicken/tripe/bone with in half an hour of getting them back in. It's just like when someone works out, they'll get the protein shake in them soon after their workout, so I tried doing similar with the dogs by feeding them after their exercise and they seem to do well on it .
  12. The Vet's told me my dog had it, I told them it wasn't ring worm because me and the kids would have it, they insisted it was and gave me some Ivermec, I didn't use it but changed the dogs food and he was fine.
  13. These are my two youngsters, I've had them running earth's ragging on carcasses and ratting but shall be starting them proper this season - Patt Dog (15 month old) Russell Bitch (16 month old)
  14. If she's gave you 4 good seasons, then give her a chance I'd say. It's up to you though?
  15. He looks a strong little fella. Best of luck with him
  16. I'd give the bitch a chance mate, it's her first season. As long as she's showing an interest to work and shows improvements each time you take her out I'd give her the chance to prove herself, best of luck.
  17. I'm not against it, put the best dog to the best bitch at your disposal. But in saying that I've got a young Russell bitch here and if she works well enough to breed off then I would search about to find a PROPER working Russell with plenty of digs under his belt/collar to put over her IF she proves her worth over the next few years.
  18. Why even reply to this idiot's comments in the first place? He's an Aussie spastic who obviously hasn't got a clue about terriers, just ignore the div he doesn't deserve the forum space.
  19. LOL Is that what he told you? I'm as fit and slender as a Springbok me pal
  20. dont know about them having the edge over those that dont but shurely they got to get something out of it,i mean come on all that sadle slaping they just have to dont no if its true but i have been told it all so breaks them in,dont no if its true tho? I've heard that as well, sounds like bullshit to me though.
  21. Don't waste your money, stretch it's neck.
  22. Obviously they're not the best MMA'ists in the world, but they are both brave men, gave each other a good leathering. Fair play to them I say
