  1. That's mint that is. Be sure to post up more of these Coyote videos Dan, I'd love to go over there and do some of that.
  2. Good on ya fella!!! there's only one thing worse than digging to a rabbit, it's digging six foot to one with an audience... it happens, put it down to experience!!!! Well done the dog, hope there's plenty more red uns to come !!!! SJ I think there will be, it'd be a shame if there wasn't because the dog is keen to get in there and do the business.
  3. My 1st black terrier was a right pain in the arse when he was around bitches when he was younger, always trying to shag 'em he was and just got in the way. He would get nailed to pieces by the bitches but it wouldn't stop him trying to slip his dust cap up 'em. He's about 16 months old now and has matured a lot over the past few months, he's started to do what I want him to do now and doesn't hassle the bitches anymore, he's maturing well. Personally I'd just give her time and a chance, to see what comes of her. If you can't put up with her anymore pass her onto someone who will put up wit
  4. Yes Rapskee, that dog of yours is doing well for you now mate. Best of luck to you and him for the future. A bit of a mad day, but all turned out well for you ey. Keep up the good work.
  5. Just to add my tupence worth, I think a few people got over heated over nothing here. Penda was asking a question, notice the question mark at the end of his post! He's not slagging any ones dog down, he wasn't throwing names around trying to run people down, and isn't making out he knows more about terriers or has a better terrier than anyone else, he even says as much here - So why all the animosity gents? I ain't gonna be dragged into a daft slaggin' match with anyone on a forum, but I think people need to relax a little bit. As much as I love working terriers, 1 thing I've not
  6. Hahahaha!!! The hunting life sounds just like the manor with all this bickering LOL.
  7. A fitter dog will be quicker, sharper, and its reaction time will better than if it wasn't fit. Same with athletes from all sports, they all train at what they do to perform as best they can.
  8. At least you got something Penda me ol' mate, we've had some right moody nights in the past. That bitch of yours still the guarantor ? good bitch she is, hows that Blue Merle bitch getting on these days? PS. Got the call of duty and been on the session tonight. Bad I know lol.
  9. Blue Collar thanks for the pics mate, and good work on the badgers. Them Porkies look a right pain in the ass. As I understand it, the spines from those porkies are barbed aren't they? How do they get them out? Whats the technique? Can you do it yourself or is it strictly for the vets to do? Do you get many Porcupines around where you live? That's an animal I wouldn't want my terriers crossing too often.
  10. Yeah a piece of paper and a dog that is probably riddled with arthritis and epilepsy. Madness. As far as them calling your dogs murdering mutts, all they see is this sort of thing mate - Never poultry ripped to shreds or other damage they can cause.
  11. They will put a dog through a life time of that sort of trauma but will see a picture of a terrier with a scratch on its nose and call us cruel. You can't force a dog to work it has a choice, those poorly bred dogs don't have a choice, so who's cruel?
  12. Some of the comments on that program were ridiculous. Like the woman with the Ridgebacks saying she'd put a ridgeless dog to sleep so that it wouldn't fall into the hands of dog fighters! Then when she's questioned about inbreeding and the science based fact of how it can cause big problems for dogs she turns round and says "no no, it's not as black and white as that". What a hypocrite, how black and white is her comments when she says that her Ridgeless dogs would go to dog fighters. I know the RSPCA are fine ones to talk, but even they have withdrew from Crufts after that program was air
  13. He's alright, he hasn't always done things in text book style, but does the job.
  14. Scrap the dry food and feed her on raw if you can. Raw is a healthier and more natural way to feed your dog. Raw chicken, rabbit, lamb, beef, turkey, most meat and poultry is better than any man made dry food. I don't feed mine pork though, apparently it can cause digestive problems? I do feed dry food but I would would scrap the dry stuff if I could afford it myself, but as things are at the moment, they get both. If pure raw feed is too much cost wise (like it is for a lot of us), why not give her a bit of both? Dry in the morning, raw at night that's what I'm doing with my dogs at t
  15. I'm looking at a getting a Beddy x Whippet in the near future, as I have heard plenty of good things about them. Rabbits and rats are what I'll be using it for, but are they purely rabbiting and ratting dogs? anyone know if they're capable of doing anything but rabbits and rats? How big do the half X's tend to reach?
  16. Try this book out, it's really good and really cheap. You canny go wrong with it. Favourite game recipes
  17. This is a recipe for a Venison pie that I got out of a little recipe book called Favourite Game Recipes, I picked this book up for just £1.50 and I would recommend it to anyone who's into their cooking. I cooked this pie last weekend and had some of the lads round to try it out. Everyone loved it, and its just the type of nice warm hearty feeding you need now the winter is coming. Ingredients - 2lb Venison (cut into 1 inch cubes). 2 oz flour. Pinch of Ground mace. Pinch of All spice. Salt and Pepper. 5 fl.oz red wine. 5 fl.oz red wine vinegar. 10 fl.oz venison or beef stock
  18. I can second that as well, Extremely game she is, with speed to spare. Always a pleasure to see her do her thing Penda mate.
  19. Some dumplin' on them pups mate, Cracking pups. Best of luck with them!
  20. Thanks all. Penda me ol pal, hows it goin', been baggin' up the shavings today have we? lol.
  21. Hello everyone. I am new to this site but know a few good lads who post on here. I have got two young black terriers at the moment and enjoy a bit of lamping with friends and Lurchers. Looking at getting a Lurcher of my own in the near future. I wouldn't mind a BeddyXWhippet that I could break too ferrets as well, as I have heard good things about them.
