Knockdown Target for Rimmies
elvolcan replied to SUNDAYBAIN's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
Thanks , is it any good , can it withstand .22lr shots ? THE PLINKER AIRGUN RIFLE AUTO RESETTING TARGET PELLET This one here? from Country stores/swansea. ATB -
If it is for FAC you have bought the wrong cabinet...if it is for SGC it doesn't matter! Ooops, it is for my FAC, is it OK to buy a small safe and bolt it to the wall? Lock the Ammo in the cabinet with guns, also remove bolt from gun and keep this in a drawer or similar place, saves buying another cabinet Cant imagine this is allowed Ammo and guns must be seperate for FAC

W.D Yeah i bought one, but had to return it after the .22lr smashed it up lol. It actully says on the packing you can use a .22 rimfire over 25yards, but at 50 yards there -

How do you like your Hatsan Escort 12g Semi Auto ? Is it a good gun, reliable ? Thanks

With an angry general attitude like you've shown here, and your caution for ABH only 4 years ago, applicants like yourself should get rejected straight away. If anyone need to be in possesion of firearms and shotguns it need to be calm relaxed people, not angry people like yourself, who are liable to boil over without a moments notice. Dont bother applying, have a little drink of water, but most importantly of all JUST REMAIN CALM

What does the podlock do? If you get a swivel bipod, which has an adjustment allowing the rifle to be tilted left or right depending on the ground, there's a knurled nut on the bipod which tightens the swivel function holding it in one place. The knurled nut is less than ideal (IMO) for this tightening job. The Podlock if a small handle that replaces the knurled nut, allowing much much easier tightening up of the tilt function Thanks, sounds good Cheers, I didn't know either, but got answered before I had a chance to ask!! Another vote for the podlock! I ha

And I assume he lost his SGC as well . The use a stolen gun could be put to, doesn't bear thinking about. Very True.

I found this guys videos very helpful , when I was first starting to strip and clean my ruger 10/22. ATB
-
yeah that will be the problem, they are not good for accuracy. Try using Eley subsonics, and the grouping should be within an inch with a Ruger 10/22 Also a better scope will help alot, a 4x32 is really not good, use a 3-9x40 at the minimum, preferably 5-15x40 or similar i would say.

Well done, great shooting ! ATB

shotgun fac semi auto 12gauge 7+1 shot i take it? not a semi auto ruger 10/22 or something? (although my ruger 10/22 is passed for fox, so just wondering)

Great looking gun in the black synthetic, but unfortunatly a little over my budget at £600 second hand. This seems like a good review for the Hatsan Arms Escort PS, and ALOT of positive comments about it from gun owners, at the bottom of that page. http://www.shootingtimes.co.uk/guns/111861...ort_Magnum.html It appears there is nothing else really like it in the price range, so I guess I'll for it , and keep my 3 year warranty at hand in my pocket. ATB

Yeah thats what I'll need it for in the future, protecting crops, but for now it'll be just for some clay shooting, so I can practice lots. It needs to be in black synthetic. Why is the escort a pile of shite? It has a 3 year no quibble warranty so if I dont think its any good , I can just return it. Also it needs to be semi auto , over and under wont cut it, as for future use it will be upgraded to an 8 shot FAC for protecting crops. Could you give me a link for that? Cant seem to find it. ATB

Hi all I have £350 to spend on a semi auto 12G shotgun. Requirements: It needs to have an all black synthetic stock, and hold 2+1 for now - upgradable to 7+1 (FAC) later. Preferably new, but will consider 2nd hand if there is any gun you think is great value Dont want anything more expensive, its probably only going to be for a little clay shooting after all. Guns I have seen so far that fit my requirement: Hatsan Arms Escort Semi Auto 12G Black Synthetic - £340 best price so far (good price ?) I have looked on guntrader. agreed eric brooks trigger kit is excellent ATB
-
how much are they in black synthetic stock ? and is it easy to upgrade them to 8 shot? (once its on your fac obv.)

i recently used a .17 HMR for the first time and was head shooting rabbits at 120 yards! awesome fun and does the job...dont think i'd trade in my .22 for it though....they are SO loud! but fair play i know loads of people that use them and love them, let us know how your first outing goes with it mate. use a SAK mod, will transform the rifle - makes it ALOT quieter , but you still have the supersonic crack obviously nice round the .17HMR good luck ATB JRC
-
Apply for .17HMR and .22LR, provided you have the land you will have no problems i imagine.

The CZ 452 .17HMR Silhouette is awesome, the stock is excellent (not flimsy at all lol) and once upgraded with eric brooks trigger kit it an outstanding gun for the price. Mine is in my sig. ATB
