  1. Dont use a muzzle...Its not the way at all, those days are long gone, location location location Has anyone ever seen another tasty piece of kit called a Cope? a steel ring tha goes over the ferrets mouth and a pin pushes through the ring and through the ferrets teeth and back out the other side to hold it on....Brutal A lot of older men around my area talk all this muzzle and cope shite, and about sewing their lips or breaking their teeth out...apparently people still do this, I just hope I never come across anybody who has pulled a ferrets teeth or sewn its mouth

  4. PIKE FISH CAKES Ingredients 500g/1lb2oz fresh boneless fillets of pike 100g/4oz spring onions, finely chopped 100ml/3½fl oz mayonnaise 100g/4oz fresh breadcrumbs, soaked in milk and squeezed 1 egg 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley 1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme salt and cayenne pepper 50g/2oz fresh breadcrumbs 50g/2oz ground almonds 3 tbsp oil 45g/3 tbsp unsalted butter 1 quantity mustard sauce 1. 5. This is the best one I have found yet http://www.channel4.com/food/recipes/chefs...recipe_p_1.html I wouldnt soak it in milk, whats the point in having pigeon if your trying to do away with the game taste....? You might as well cook crappy chicken from tesco if your going to do that.

  10. if its any help I bought 60 hatching eggs off ebay for £6 and 40 hatched! They sent them in the normal post and all arrived safely....have a look its an easy way to get hawk food thats from a relaible source (my reason for breeding them) I considered hatching them, But I only want about 8 or 12 to lay eggs, so its not worthwhile buying an incubator for £100+ to hatch 12 eggs at 20p each ad then not using the incubator again, the cost of buying 12 full grown layers far outweighs buying an incubator....Although it would be a LOT more fun to hatch them!

  15. I built a long net after joining the site a couple of months back and seeing everyone using them, I used the guide on the site thats pinned and it was a good help, several people on the site also advised me and helped a lot, stubby etc - I found it a breeze to use and even took rabbits with it on the first setting, It was all the more satisfying having made it myself. For me though, the real joy of using a longnet is when a rabbit bolts from a scoot hole Ive missed with a purse net....He's going like the clappers thinking he's got away until........He buckles in the longnet......
  16. I read about Ferrets liking this stuff, So I got a small bottle to try, I put a drop on my hand tonight and let the ferrets out of their cub to have a run around the garage, they went mental!! All 4 of them licking my hand and following it wherever I moved, I had them up in there back legs as well! I came out to the garage a few more times through the evening and each time I gave them a little drop through the wire they went mad, The last time I went in tonight to lock up they started going crazy round the cage, there usually well tucked up at this time and nothing would wake them, they must e
