  4. would he sell the mk3 collar mate? Yeah he'l sell it, do you know of any MK2's?
  5. My mate bought a new MK2 finder which came with a collar & he bought a MK3 collar just after - Now he's realised after thinking the unit was broken, that the MK3 collar cant be picked up by the MK2 locator........So, If anyone has a MK2 collar, he will swap it for a MK3 collar, Used once!
  6. I go all day, but always have my ferrets out and in the box again for around 3, if you get a lay up anytime after that, the light falls very quick, you dont want to have a ferret stuck down a warren in the dark.
  7. Brilliant photos! Looked like a good morning out
  8. I was thinking that too....I wish I could sell the 9 in my shed, Im sick eating pheasant!
  9. My ferrets live in an outdoor hutch, 2 floors with a large entrance into the nest box, With the severe wind & rain over the last few days, I couldnt get the hutch moved to an area sheltered from the wind and rain, and with the large nest box entrance, I thought the ferrets would be freezing with the elements...I made the entrance hole smaller with a new square of ply over it with a smaller hole, but they dragged all there bedding to the bottom floor & slept there, I went out this moring & they where all curled up on the bottom floor with the wind & rain hammering in at them &am
  10. Thats some ferret! He should have his own room in your house!
  11. Thats exactly what she does, and makes that clucky noise!!!
  12. I just started learning to snare, I only set one this week as it was on a run at the back of my house and I could keep an eye on it....I just checked it tonight, the wire was snapped, although the peg was still in the ground, the wire was stretched out straight and broke off near the top end...What could it have been, strange that if it was strong enough to break the wire the peg didnt come free? The wire doesnt look as if its gnawed, but its not a clean break either.........
  13. She bolted a rabbit just before she came out, But mayve could have been a rabbit too...
  14. I have been doing that since she started skulking, I will just keep at it, I think what the other guy said as well about me snatching at it is the problem, she maybe done it a time or two & me grabbing at it made the problem worse
  15. If she had been doing it from the start maybe I wouldnt be as worried, But itsjust thats shes only started doing it, It seems to have started since she switched on that going down the hole ment rabbits....she bolted rabbits the first time out, but the more she done and seemed to know what she was doing, she started skulking, maybe the problem is me being to grabby..?
  16. One of the 2 kits I kept for myself from this year was working well on the first 2/3 days out, recently she has began skulking down the hole very badly & can only be drawn out with a rabbit & then grabbed ver quickly, Its getting so bad I didnt work her at all las saturday after the first set of holes as I had no rabbit to get her out and it took almost half an hour of messing....Is there any cure for this, I have tried to let her come well clear of the hole before lifing her, but she takes off running down again as soon as I approach near her, I was thinking of just letting her go com
  17. A bit of time in this one, But WELL worth it....And for less than £5.00 for 2 large pies! Ingredients: 2 Rabbits, Jointed & poached in stock for 2ish hours - Leave to cool, strip off meat & place to one side 500g of self rasing flour, 250g Maragarine, stork is cheapest & what I used One packet of Tesco Chorizo, sliced One medium black pudding 2 small red onions 1 tub of tesco pancetta 1 Small tub of double cream How to: Place 500g of flour in a bowl with 250g of margarine cut in slices, rub together to make a bread crumby style mixture,
  18. Exactly my thoughts. If it is as dug up as you make it out to be, then it would be pretty much useless to the landowner and so Im sure he would be willing to allow anything to get rid of them if he cares so much about the land that you arnt even allowed to shoot, dig or let dogs on it. Think somebody might be BSing a bit. Why would I be BS'ing....The man asked me not to dig, so I dont, theres no reason to BS about anythng
