  7. A hound man I know and hunt with names his pups in alphabetical order each year...One year was W and there are all called Willow, Warlock, Witch, etc, etc. Maybe start your naming after her name...Merlin, Magic, Merlot etc...And go with the alphabet

  10. People do seem to be getting increasingly emotional about racing and showing there dogs...It really should all be a bit of fun at the end of the day. I always think of my most favourite movie production in these cases, which is LURCHER MANIA...A genuine CLASSIC from many years ago.... That unforgettable voice and accent clearly stated - "A Lurcher is not a Lurcher unless HE or SHE brings home the supper...... Maybe some will disagree, but for me PERSONALLY that is the definition of the working dog

  16. It was a very memorable day when Paco cleared 9.5 leaving much bigger and taller dogs on the other side... You could have heard a pin drop a few seconds before his last jump...Up he went, a little adjustment....And down the far side... The roar was brilliant... He stood with his tongue out, covered in water and everyone was proud of him Its a shame he cant defend his title...The good dogs go too soon...

The little bitch in my avatar was for the first 2 years of her life...A nightmare Many many times I said that day was her last with me, after she wrecked washing lines, stole clothes, killed neighbours cats and ate her way through hundreds of pounds worth of wood in fences, picnic tables and my missus precious garden type stuff Early ferreting was a nightmare, and we usually made it to ten o'clock before she went over a hill somewhere and got home before me But I could never bring myself to part with her...And I am glad I didnt, because when s
