  1. No confusion at all! I wonder how many people go out Lamping Rabbits with lets say a Rimmy and a Fox presents itself so the shot is taken? The fact is I originaly went out to shoot a couple of Rabbits for the Hawks expecially for the bird I have in trainning now, just because I happend to mention Rabbits in the original post doesn't mean Rabbits would have been my only quarry! I would also 100% of shot a Woodpigeon, Jay, Magpie, Carrion Crow, Jackdaw if they had also presented themselves as the light was fadeing ... as for my Language! why do you think the forum has a auto edit facility? I
  2. And who are you! some sort of Anti? I have lost count how many Hares I have shot in the past so what do I have to prove? least of all to you? for starters everything I shoot either ends up in the pot or ends up being fed to Hawks end off! no waste all have a use and none died just to make the Numbers up pal, the fact I shot a Hare or a Rabbit has no consiquence as ALL will serve a purpose... the answer is simple! my objective was to shoot a Rabbit, the Hare was in Range of which I knew I could stop it with a clean shot! so I took it. the fact I didn't realy set out for a Hare has nothi
  3. I would love to eat it Stealthy but have to say the one's I have tried in the past have been pretty gamey and strong, perhaps its just the way the wife cooked them but if there was a good recipe I would give it a try .... It just seems too good to give to the birds! also have no idea why I shot it as I vowed a few years back never to shoot another Hare after I back ended one with the shotty ..... atb Jasp
  4. Not had the time lately to sit and read through some posts but enjoyed this one! apot on lads lads . another great thread Phantom Jasp
  5. Popped out with the gun through the back hedge into the back field mainly looking for another bunny, Unfortunately this Hare showed himself before trotting on slightly giving me a decent shot from behind. One .177 field target trophy whistled out of the Air Rangers Barrel and clattered him in the back of the swede!! game over ..... Jasp
  6. Not sure if this will work. a couple Norfolk boys just after taking a hare! sorry no flight but just being dispatched.... http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v327/jasper65uk/?action=view&current=MVI_0026.flv
  7. Practicing field sports is a bit different than the bollox then spanish c**ts get up to, no one can compare the two. All the quarry I hunt one way or another is wild and gets sporting chance! its f**k all to do with tree Hugging , its about Hunting for sport/food and respecting what you hunt.... Its the f*****g idiots who go public with illegal posts and picture's who fucks the game up for others, thankfully we're here to delete most of the shite before its splashed across the world wide net....
  8. Some sort of sport! Call it tradition or whatever but I can't see how they get off on it..... Blood Fiesta
  9. f**k knows Bullet you tell me mate. Its the first decent size female I have kept back but what choice did I have when I only bred one male what was spoken for. the Finn x Hungarian female I kept back in 2007 was the smallest I bred that year with all the others being Finnish so I kept her! she did everything I wanted from a bird as would a half decent sized male if I had bred one.... this year I had too many females and kept the one bird left in the aviary! I still stick by what a old falconer said to me "Big Boys Small Girls theory" but this year its a case of needs must and she's all
  10. often seen swimming naked in Michael Barrymores swimming pool.

Looks like you're in for some good sport steve . Good on ya Phil! thats a cracking gesture .....
  12. you have to have some Balls to do this.... Click Here
  13. I wouldn't go that far! you won't see many Falcons with tail guards and go back a good few years you wouldn't see Hawks with them either includeing passage and Haggard Goshawks. if a Bird is Hooded its not going to be bateing about, when its more ammicable and steady after the manning process and left out to weather bareheaded it shouldn't be Bateing about then either... Took my tail guard off my P/R Gos this morning as Frankly I don't need it, its Hooded and being manned with the use of the Hood. thankfully also my birds don't mantle all over kills so I don't need a tail guard then either
  14. To be honest I only started using tail guards in the last few years on Hawks! there's not realy that much point when they're Hooded during the initial manning period, on the other hand if you're not Hooding a Parent Reared bird straight out of the aviary then I have no idea as I Hood all mine. from a Falcon point of view! Never.... I had some old patterns laying about and knocked a few up using Xray paper a few years back, for some reason started useing them ever since .... Jasper
  15. Looks very neat Bill! I must admit it suits that gun better than the original stock. Nice to see you are a lefty pal! All the best shots are mate .... Jasper
  16. The other guy who took the sister has his feeding sensibly on the fist in all situations now at 2lb 12. We'll have some sport soon pal . when you're over next we'll go on a mission with the birds again and have some time out with the Rifles too... She's a nice bird Rosselle but as you know I like the males and not keen on big females. It will be good to see your third season male this year, somehow I don't think he will be taking many prisoners......
  17. Get some pictures up Josh of them Rabbits you've been taking with the bird, it'll be nice to see how she's coming on. Just Pulled a genuine P/R Finn the sister to a pals male also on this thread last saturday 14weeks old. I started reducing her food intake a good week before while she was on her own in the aviary and managed to get her on the scales the days after I kitted her out when she had settled, she was Hooded and weighed a Honest genuinly well empty tad over 3lb 3 1/2 shitting green, she's now feeding nicely on the fist at 2lb 14 1/2 but still plenty of work needed in the Manning a
  18. Can't say about your Air Arms but I used FTT's in a old Falcon Raptor a few years back with cracking results and now use them in my Air Ranger! The Daystate loves them and virtualy always lands them where I want them .........
