Daystate Silencer Adaptor Help
jasper65 replied to jasper65's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Quick update: Turns out that this gun was fitted with a smaller diameter shroud! <16.5mm> could well be a Daystate MK4 or simular. for the life of me I can't see why but my intention is to take the gun back to its original state so I will be investing in a genuine Air Ranger/Airwolf shroud to match the rifle <22.5mm>. Just wish I was told this when I picked the gun up Secondhand! at least It would have put me more in the picture . cheers Jasper -
Never met shay but got to know him on the site! sometimes you have a sense when someone is genuine. no doubt about it this guy is as straight as they come, top man ... Jasp

I just purchased a new silencer adaptor for my Ranger off Ebay! the guy was selling it as a adaptor for a Airwolf but aparantly the Ranger and wolfs are both the same size diameter shroud fitting, I'm now thinking this can't be the case due to the size difference of these two . the original adaptor <shroud side> that came with the rifle is 16.5mm. the new one I just purchased is 20.5mm which obviously won't fit into my shroud. here's a quick picture showing the two adaptors together! the smaller is the original that fits my Ranger. if anyone has a Wolf or Ranger on the site could

I was looking at some scopes from the States T. I couldn't beleive the saving to be made compared to here in the UK! The Nikon Monach scopes was a good half prices than the one's advertised in the UK, also a pretty good saving from china and japan with other make scopes such as Hawke. I Don't suppose you or anyone else has tried this route buying optics mate? cheers Jasp

Top bombing guys cheers . One hopefully should now be heading my way very shortly, no idea how long it will take but its certainly a saving on the Harris Bipods . atb Jasp

I know alot of you lads use a Bipod to great effect . I have never owned one or have a slightest clue about them, the only one I have seen was a Harris type fitted to a pals AA 410 which was very nice. I'm now in the running for one but was hopeing you could give me the pro's and cons on what to go for? for a start they seem to have different height adjustments! what height would you go for there also seems to be many for sale on Ebay from abroad for a good price! most are makes I have never heard off like the one in the link below, anyone purchased the likes of this off ebay or where

I know what you're saying Phantom . many times I go for Body shots in the kill zone if its the only option available to me, I dropped a pigeon the other day from one of the Oaks covered in Ivy which was a Body shot, the bird dropped without a flap and lay motionless, it was shot side on under the front end of its wing through the rub cage and out the other side, after chopping it up for the birds its Heart and lungs took the brunt of the pellet. I think this is the difference! their are body shots and just plain old body shots which don't stop the quarry out right, looking at that video no

You have a point there Simon but I'm sure if you watch the footage over again you sill see plenty of times the quarry presented itself perfect for a clean sparked out head shot! even if he happend to miss the bird completely it wouldn't have mattered, Squabs and Parents birds sitting on a nest won't be going far! its not like most situation when you get the one chance so you need to make the shot. seems to me the guy wasn't perhaps confident enough with his shooting to take on the smaller head area and decided to opt for the larger body mass, thats obviously his perogative but I'm sure a f

Hello Si sorry mate it wasn't meant to be to catch anyone out . when I saw this post and the vid I remembered seeing it on here before. I knew back then some of the more respected THL shots wasn't over impressed. I have watched a fair few of your clips Si as Davey's and a good few others on Youtube! looking at that video I can't help feeling that some of them shots was well worthy of a good clean placed head shot, I have seen you do it plenty of times in the past as a few other shooters. I'm beggining to sound a bit of a Anti but I'm one of them who can't sit and shoot young Rooks
