  1. Job well done Ian Thats one big mink! I had one in the freezer a good while back which was a fair bit smaller which ended up at the Taxidermist.
  2. I'm trying to stay independant on this one but ain't it funny how some people when given a length of rope always end up hanging themselves out to dry . read through both topics now includeing the locked thread. have to say Hunter1989 I hope you can dig yourself out of this one pal! there's alot of people on the forum lost and loseing faith in you fast.
  3. Its typical! I spend the day building aviaries and miss all the excitement . Just trolled through all 20 pages and still non the wiser! it started off well but seem to end going round in circles which is a shame. Reminded me of the arguements I have with the missus! they also go on for ever .
  4. a Pal had a Evolution in .177 for sale a while back! not sure if he still has it but I can genuinly tell you its only had 250 pellets through it at the most. I can ask him if you are interested? this is a picture of the actual gun which has a lovely stock. Plus beleive it or not he lives in Norfolk Jasper
  5. sounds a absolute bargain . will be interested in comparing it when you get some pictures up with My Ranger. I was told the RWS is the same gun a long time ago... Jasper
  6. Don't quote me 100% on this Andy but I think you'll find BSA was taken over by Gammo . they're certainly not a british made rifle anymore like the BSA's of old.... Jasp
  7. I love football just as long as Man Utd win the Premiership, The Champions Leagure and the FA Cup . Never watch it when they lose! which isn't very often ......
  8. A pal brought round his new R10 the other day so we could fit his Sidewinder 30 IR Tactical 4.5-14x42 Rifle Scope for zeroing! (which incidently is a cracking scope). after shooting the R10 and compareing it with My Air Ranger I have to say you get as much with a R10 for half the price, must say its a stunning gun and a stunning set up he has there! scope and all in the picture. Take Care Jasp
  9. He was definitely a bit handy with his Guitar. this was a cracking track by him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrz00Rs7mbA&feature=fvw
  10. Nice one EF . The keeper thankfully popped some round the other week which was handy shot with the Rimmy. I'm after plenty of Woodies now for the next coming months! either popped with the Air Rifle or downed useing steel shot with the shotgun . cheers Jasp
  11. was always told to leave a Gap between two patterns facing the wind . by all account Pigeons like to fly over the top of there pals alot of the time and land infront! I'm sure it was the late great Archie Coats who said that? Crow deacs are handy as it proves to the Pigeons it normaly pretty safe! we used to also Bung a couple of Magpie deacs in the hegde near by. I wouldn't worry about it if you drew a blank if there wasn't many pigeons about! but if there was plenty over flying your Deacs then somthing was a miss . I have never shot them with a Air Rifle over decoys but it certainly coul
  12. Good to see you joined David

  13. Nice one Andy Trust me Bud I'm in 100% agreement with you . I have had this one out on some other forums about the price of these guns. they're certainly nothing special compared to guns near on half their price! infact I would go as far as to say they're a pretty disapointing when it comes to value for money. A pal brought round his new R10 the other day so we could fit his Sidewinder 30 IR Tactical 4.5-14x42 Rifle Scope for zeroing! (which incidently is a cracking scope). after shooting the R10 and compareing it with the Ranger I have to say you get near on just as much with a R10 fo
  14. top bombing FTM what a cracking nights roost shooting! I'm enviouse Jasp
  15. cracking post Rossy . As you know I own a Ranger and have encounted some problems along the way but also have to say I encounted a good few with the last two Pre-charge rifles I owned. one was a webley and the other a Falcon Raptor! ok they are pretty dated compared to some these days but one of these had a whole lot of problems. I think somtimes it depends on the rifle when it was built? I think one of the rifles I had was built on a friday when everyone was in a rush to get home . The Ranger is a belter of a rifle but have to say way way over priced! mine shoots as expected from
  16. Must admit I love my Air Ranger! if you aim it in the right spot it normaly hits it, its a gem of a gun but a bit heavy for my liking shooting freehand when fully loaded with all the extras . Jasper
  17. Think I must be going through a midlife crisis! after watching the clip it still gives a buzz the same as when I was 17. My brain still thinks 17 but the rest of me is falling to bits ...
  18. Here's my lad while on the way to go Beating. used to take him everywhere with me but he's now 15 and has other intrests... The good thing is he's now likeing his field sports as he gets older! going out beating did him the world of good ...
  19. Got sent a clip of this film last night taking us back to 1964 when the Mods took over Brighton. Its no Quadrophenia but could this trigger the Mod revival and get all the Teenagers off their computers and social networks and onto a Scooter? would like to think it would simular to the effect Quadrophenia had on us as boys. Can't see it happening these days but here's hoping Brighton Rock
  20. Have to agree with you there Rake Aboot . my Ranger doesn't take many prisoners but would still like to see Air Arms bring out a Rifle with a Bottle simular to the Rangers. the build quality on the Air Arms I have seen in the past is excellent.... Jasp
  21. I would love to see Air Arms bring out a bottle fed rifle! I'm a fan on the Air Arms but would love to see one hit the market banging out a good few more shots useing a bottle . Jasper
  22. what a classic!!! Just spat my coffee out laughing at that one .... I remember also having a cheapy Shakespeare closed face reel as a lad which also chewed its cogs up bringing in a Eel on the releif channel. do you remember another reel called a "Gallyon 13R"? must admit it was a cheapy but lasted a bit longer than the other two mentioned .. Jasper
  23. Tidied up my Old Webley Vulcan MK2 a few years back after it spend many moons in the loft, after sticking a new sear spring, breach washer and spring, plus stripping it and cleaning all the old gunk out of it its now shooting sweet as a nut. Don't worry about replacing the piston washer on these guns as they seldom wear, they somtimes crack due to dry firing but the fact they are PTFE means they stay slippery without much wear. this is my old baby about 12 months ago shortly after moving here.....
  24. some info I had sent to me earlier about it.
