  1. Nice to see this bully get some Pay back . http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=bD5JHoNjDcQ
  2. I'm a novice when it comes to dogs but have seen a few Staffs in my time. Have to say Doug! thats one of the best looks staffs if not the best I have clapped eyes on mate! what a cracker ....
  3. 100% with you on that Butler. the still air Incs are probably the closest thing to Natural in the way they heat gently from the top with the egg cooling at the bottom! pretty much identicle to the conditions of a nest with the heat coming from the brood patch and cooling at the bottom of the nest. there's alot of mickey mouse Incubators out there full of the electronic gadgetry which isn't needed, loads more electronics to go wrong all squeezed into a small incubator unit. Unfortunatly there's not many good Cabinet Incubators out there now! Curfew used to do some cracking one's but hav
  4. Yes mate its a good sound Inc that treats eggs to a simular enironment as when under a parent bird. the heat is gradual with these coming down and heating slowly from the top much like a birds brood patch. the trouble with alot of small incubators with fans directly over the eggs is they tend to dry eggs out due to too mucj foced air from the fan! they also have a habit of heating eggs the same temperature all round due to this forced air circulation. I'm not saying this is bad thing as with most Poultry and game eggs they'll hatch out anywhere but I certainly wouldn't get away with it with Ha
  5. Tried a few in the past Actic from Octagans, Roll X and Curfew. all did the job they was designed for but most would rise and fall as the external remperature changed even though the room Temperature was pretty stable. one of the above would go up over a Degree during the day when it was at its warmest and needed tweeking down again in the evenings when the air cools! most of this came from pretty poor insulation in the caseing with the lids just being single skinned. I still have the old Curfew with the clear lid but only now use it for a Hatcher. My main Incubator now is a Grumbach. I ha
  6. Hedge Jumping, Scrumping, pea shooting windows, Banging on doors and doing a runner. Firework night always had to be the best laugh with some strings of bird scarers . Happy Days.....
  7. Just a rough guess Man Utd 2 - 0 Arsenal fabio 28 mins Rooney 49 mins
  8. Nowt wrong with "thoroughly feeling the breasts" on any bird . I knock over a good few squirrels, Pigeons and Bunnies with the air rifle, if they've been shot anywhere near the body I do everything to find the Pellet, thankfully 99% of the time they passing through so no worries there. normally you can see a entry hole and a exit hole! if not its probably still in there somewhere. If you can pull off head shots you're laughing! straight off with their head and the rests in the freezer for food. Jasper
  9. anyone seen ther news of the big earthquake that hit Japan triggering off a large Tsunami? seems like its now spreading bigtime . Just seen this on a news alert: Tsunami Alert for New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Hawaii, and others. 10. The Art And Practice Of Hawking - E B Michell Observations Of Modern Falconry - Ronald Steven Used to read both these books from the Library under the bed covers with a Torch when I was a lad! my parents thought I was asleep for school in the morning

  14. Looking at the angle Al . I reckon you shot the woody clean through the head, the pellet ricochets off the path and clipped the crow in the swede and killed it . the pigeon ended up in the pot and the crow to the Ferrets Jasp
  15. cracking shooting LR wish you was closer as I would be buying the ferals off you. the last lot you mullered with the air rifle virtually filled my freezer up. Pigeons seem to be thin on the ground in this area at the moment, I'm sure they must be feeding somewhere else
  16. 100% spot on DF . I'm surprised Fergie didn't dip into the money when the transfer window was open. you would think he could of brought in a decent midfielder to replace any of the above ? Hopefully he will splash the cash soon as even the man himself must be feeling he needs to replace players expecialy before next season. my only hope is the team he has now can keep it together until the end of the season! there's a few includeing the one's mentioned above who are lacking the big match attitude and skill of some of the Man Utd players of old. I'm still thinking the Gooners will bott
  17. what can I say! when you support a club thats succesfull like UTD why not rub every other fuckers nose in it ...
  18. It pains me to say this being a Man Utd supporter but god knows how we managed to reach the top of the table the way we have played, Just shows how crap the rest of the premiership is . we've hit the summit playing at half Gas and somehow just about held on, a good Man Utd team of old would have wrapped this season premiership up long ago. also have to say what the f**k is Carrick doing playing in a Man Utd shirt , Can't say I go alot on the lad Fletcher either! Hopefully there'll be a clear out end of season.....
  19. Had a few P/R Gos's on bows in the past through out the moult and have to say they seem to start out ok! but as their condition goes up and the more spooky they get the more problems you have. obviously reducing stress is another major factor in the moult which is why secluded Free lofting takes some beating with a P/R bird. Fret marks, Damaged feathers, Damaged shafts from feathers still in the blood, slow moult, incomplete moult ECT, just to name a few, then again if you have no other option you have no other choice. they're all different with their own different personalities! Hope
  20. I'll Have a word with Timmy WAG! he's dug one on a 6 acre site at the back of his land. Its not as big as your plans but his looks the business now its been standing for about 8 years! got a good few carp in there now too. In the aerial picture you can just about see the pond dug out on the left plus a couple of Carp the lads caught a few years back
