  1. We used to all have them when we was kids and them Diana G10's plinking about in the gardens and stinging each other up . Cheers Jasp
  2. Here's mine! I once killed 4 snails on the trot at 5 paces in the back garden. its even more devastating if you put the barrel within inches of a snail and let the plunger do the job!! beleive me its carnage .... Jasper
  3. Nice one mate! looks like you all had some good sport .... Jasper
  4. :clapper: class act! He's one guy anyone would want in their corner .... Jasper
  5. Lows: Falling flat on my arse while trying to run on a sheet of ice on the landfill, Busting my old faithfull telemetry amd leaving a nice Bruise across my back in the shape of a Luksander receiver .... Highs: there's wern't any! probably the start of the breeding season ... Jasper
  6. Yes it is mate. Its a gun ive restored for its owner but hes lost the open sights off it and there expensive to replace.A nice small set of scopes would look nice on her hello adey i wouldn't bother with a scope, i've seen two or three that have had scopes fitted to the spot welded rail and the rail invariably lifts spoiling the gun (i have one that's had the same treatment though it's not as bad as others that i've seen ) the scope always creeps back too scoring the top of the trigger block, you may just be able to make out the damage in this pic (sorry, don't have a close up)
  7. Don't talk to me about neighbours . mine has just retired and he doesn't stop all day lighting fires, trimming hedges, digging up his driveway, cleaning his guttering beleive it of not with a toothbrush , scrubing his patio on his hands and knees gone 11pm in the evening, pruning anything that slightly over hangs his boundary. I was in the garden with the birds the other day and heard him snipping away! he was litteraly cutting small sprigs of Leylandi off that hung over his fence by about 3 inches at the most.... I even saw him crawling about on his lawn the other evening in the dark with

    Weight

The peruvian race Harris's are pretty small so you would expect them to be light compared to some other races! weights vary by one falconer to another and obviousley the sort of flying condition the bird is in, a fit IN condition bird with its metabolism pumped up will fly heavier than somebody who just gets out and flys on the odd day. the other thing you have to take into consideration is the falconry techniques used and also how the bird was reared .... 9. the guy Hannan should be knighted for standing up and telling it as it is . its typical to see Gordon grinning it off like he has done since he f****d up our economy as chancellor with Blair... the guy has f****d up the country! f****d up lives and still sits with a smile on his face... Just shows how hollow he is............. Jasper
  10. Top quality pictures Keeps.....
  11. Without being disrespectfull the first price sounds a bit steep if its a standard model ... Is it the S version mate or a standard Airsporter? .177 or .22? cheers Jasper
  12. "Hell Have No Fury Like A Woman Scorned" so they say. some receptive females can vent their aggresion on a male behaving like a jaffa .... by what you have said it doesn't sound like food related! the best thing mate is to panel up so they can't see each other .... cheers Jasp
  13. There's certainly a high percentage chance it could grow back depending on what sort of damage she has done, if its just the nail then you would expect it to come back! be aware sometimes they grow back twisted or a little shorter.... Reading through this is sounds like a little bit of frustration on the females behalf! a 7 year old female would be pretty receptive at that age for breeding, she could well be in breeding condition and he is failing in that department due to his age! if he is not treading her when she is waving her knickers in the air and I suspect he isn't then she will hav

    few pics

I had all sorts of birds before the Kestrels from Jackdaws which would follow me to school and other corvids before getting a Kestrel, the one in the picture wouldn't have been the first, I was probably around 15-16 in the picture or perhaps younger.... I certainly did my apprentiship with them and moved onto Spars and then the redtail, I finaly got "Troy" my first Peregrine in 93..... Jasp
  15. shit me mate it never rains it pours sometimes . keep your chin up sime, just another thing in life to test us!! I know its hard but try and let it bounce off you like rubber bullets ... ATB Tony

  17. Oh Foook . now you're scareing the shit out of me as mines on a 02 plate with 107,000 miles..... How many miles has it clocked up sime? I have no idea but it sounds pretty unlucky to me mate having a pump knock out! I feel for you big time........ Jasp
  18. I was Grandad Ian! I just sat in the corner and watched while Millet took the driving role ..... Jasper
  19. Nice one Woodga . the only problem is though mate I can't keep up with them! we did one jaunt on foot through the landfill and I was shattered, I still ache now , I'll surprise them and get a bit fitter for next time .... Jasp

    few pics

Just fished out a few old pic's before everyone started clicking away at everything with Digital Camera's ... This was my old Redtail from his first year 89 and so on <Registered then>.. Note the Welders glove and the lady killer jumber , in the background on the far right of the back aviary you can just make out a Kestral with his flying jesses on which was a few years old..... Its a shame but you don't see many people these days doing their homework with a Kestral learning delicate weight management, manning, swinging the lure, Hooding before moving on, these was skills back th
  22. when I was at primary school in the 70's my mother brought me some Gary Glitter high heel boys shoes with Bugandy toes  . after school one day I was routing through the local tip with some friends and came across a half decent pair of shoes which fitted me perfect, I lobbed my nice shiney new pair in the skip and went home with the other pair on , My mother went back to look for them but thankfully never found them. My skip shoes did me proud though for a while . these days I have a little more class and just route through the skips for the odd pairs of pants or socks to wear .....

    harris hawk

too right mate! I would rather have one good flight and finish the day than go out all week and just mug a few like some I keep seeing and reading about, ok it can be good for the bird to get them killing regular but far too many easy kills will soon spoil a bird. there's plenty pull out of the good strong stuff after being spoilt by easy kills virtualy placed infront of them.... Jasper
  24. definitely worth a look simo!! when mine went tits up and cutting out a few people mentioned they had problems with the throttle sensor. thankfully mine was the fuel filter but it needed to be bled through a fair bit to get it running again on all four.... keep us posted what the outcome is sime! I certainly would be interested in what the Nissan boys make of it.... Also try and cover up them stains on your passenger seat mate before you let them have it .... atb Jasp
  25. we skinned a good few squirrels in our teens after getting out with the airguns! it was a nightmare... I remember having a razor blade handy for cutting the membrane each time I pulled the skin down, a few days later they would end up spread eagled on the bedroom wall .... I was a bit sad when I was a kid with some funny fetishes .... Jasp
