    Pellets can change every batch, for good and for worse, so it's good to keep an open mind.

    The Magnums give me fliers like no other pellet in my HW100KT, the WORST pellet I've ever shot in a sub 12, good in FAC air.

    What's your 97, .22 or 177? If your 97 is .22, go for a 177. AA or HW, both good gun makers, and only really boils down to personal choice. I have the HW100KT .22, had it years, not missed a beat, and has accounted for a few thousand rabbits in it's time.

    HW100KT. Had one since they came out with the bayonet filler, not had a thing go wrong with it, can't tell you how many rabbits it's whacked, gave up counting when it reached 3,000, and that's a while ago.

    At least it has the potential to kill rather than worry Mac, so you might be on track. If it was my gun, I'd be plinking spinners and targets until the gun loosens up a bit, then see what you have to tune.
