  1. Nice shooting there Paul where do you buy your natural latex from?? I'm trying to locate some without ordering from the US. Cheers!
  2. Looks great there Greyman any chance of explaining the tube method again and where do you get the tubing from?? Also if you hear of anywhere I can get the latex from outside the US let me know..! Once you have tried TTF you won't go back to anything else.
  3. Hi Micky no I didn't its the first TTF catty that I have owned. Its supposed to be an improvement on the PPSG. especially regarding fork hits, I had a few in the beginning but sussed it now! I too use 28mm to 22mm TBG with 9.5 steels, its a great combination!
  4. Hi I'm using PPMG and I think its excellent. I have always used a catty shooting with right hand on catty just instinctive. Saw the videos on you tube etc etc, bought one and started to holld catty in left hand as right eye dominant. All I can say is its amazing how accurate you can get with a bit of practice. Had a few woodys with it, would never go back to my old ways!
  5. No don't order from the US you'll get stung on import duty. Get them from Puma knives Germany, come in about two days and no tax to pay! With current exchange rates it's roughly £55 from puma & £35 from pineo.........I found import duty hit & miss from the states, I'm sure pineo marked it as a gift, because I can't remember paying any on the gloves.... But I could wrong :-) Yeah like you say import duty hit and miss most times you cop it though. I would sooner buy from Puma easier to deal with if ever you need to return for any reason. Great piece of kit though...!

  7. Pineo Pendleton wouldn't want anything else. Lightweight but extremely strong...!
  8. Try it at 28mm to 22mm single band 9.5mm steels
  9. I was looking at the bulk purchase to buy a few metres at a time just thought it would be easier to buy from the UK or EU postage and import duty etc etc Thanks for the reply!
  10. Thanks do you have a link please? Found them thanks will give them a try, cheers!
  11. Don't know if anyone can help is there anywhere in the UK or Europe that I can order the .30 natural latex from? I have tried this site http://www.slingshot...nglish/scout-1/ but they won't sell it to me by the metre. I don't want to buy from the US and I don't want to buy the bands pre cut. I like to make my own and its a lot cheaper. Cheers!
  12. Dawn its your opinion as you say and like I said I was totally against them too until I was shown the effect that they can have when used correctly. They are an excellent aid like I said when used CORRECTLY , the dog must first be trained correctly using conventional methods. Believe me that the vibration setting and or the beep is all that is needed when the dog is trained. You have obviously witnessed a disaster which in my opinion would have probably ended the same way without the use of an electronic collar. My views are based on experience, I have trained many dogs to a very good standard
  13. Yes Dawn they do respond to a "tingle" or a "tap on the shoulder" when the dog is trained! It could be that its working at a great distance in high wind on the hill and can't hear the whistle command, then all that's required is a beep or at most a quick buzz on the vibrate setting. It doesn't hurt the dog in any way, when used by a competent person they can truly be a great aid to owning a polished working dog. The problems arise like has been said when someone just straps it on and thinks they can train a dog by zapping it willy nilly. You need to learn how to use it properly before trying
  14. Couple of my mates wear them reckon they take about a year to break in tho, very light and toughI was looking at lundhag 'forest' which are not that expensive, but are only single layer..........must admit though, the thought of breaking in boots is not great, I thought that was a thing of the past for me..... That's what put me of trying them! Blisters ! Lol Don't think there's are waterproof lined you get a wax for them but they still let in a bit! I've had my new hanwags on every morning this week couple of miles across the moors counting grouse so comfortable straight out box no
  15. Had Altbergs and Diotto both with Sympatex and both leaked first time out. Got refund off both and went and bought good ole faithful Meindl Dovres. Had Lowas and Meindls for many seasons both kept me dry week in week out. Recommend both!

  17. Ditto..! If one is going to come off second best it will definitely be the male. I wouldn't bother to risk it if I were in your shoes. Much nicer to see them hunt and catch single handed. It can also make them lazy and they can wait for the other hawk to do all the work.
  18. It's not a young bird it has mature plumage.

  20. Sounds like your going to be having a lot of fun. Can't beat a Harris for the rabbits!
  21. Sounds good although I prefer a parent reared bird at 18 to 20 weeks. All the best with it though. Now just fly a Harris. Sorry for the late reply I have only just seen the replies to your post.
  22. Good luck with it Dean that must be an early brood. What age is it?
