So if it's for a traditional longnet why not just cut hazel sticks instead of spending money on brush handles ... you must have one hell of a bag to carry enough poles for a 100 yard longnet ........

A broom handle isn't long enough to cut into 3 longnet poles is far to thick and far to heavy ... if you've got a 50 meter net with the poles set at 5 meters how big has the fukcing basket got to be to hold all those brush handles ... daftest idea I've heard for a long time ......

Dog has overworked his lungs mate and it will take up to 10 days of rest to recover ... you can help ease the retching by giving him a spoonful of good honey 5 - 7 times a day .......

Bruce parry's programmes are much better ... the one where he goes through a tribes initiation ceremony involving mind altering drugs for over two days is a brilliant watch ... him explaining how it felt and what it did to him is brilliant .......

Whats that at Socks me ol son is it an army competition or something ? Yes mate that was the battalions inter company boxing that happens every year ... that's the first step towards getting to the army boxing team ....... Good stuff.....the son in law took me to something similar the other year the quality wasnt all that but couldnt fault the commitment good on them. Most of them lads will have never laced up a glove in their lives but as you say it's all about the balls and commitment... and if one or two of them show a little promise they are taken to the next level .......
